Title: God provides Post by: Honda328i on September 26, 2005, 12:10:10 AM As had been her practice for many years, an elderly lady loudly exclaimed for her front porch: "Praise the Lord" every morning without fail. A new neighbor, a professed atheist, moved into the house across the street from her one day. After a few weeks of listening to his neighbor "Praise the Lord" every morning, he became annoyed. So every morning when she would speak her proclamation, he would answer back to her from across the street: "There is no Lord". This continued another week and the old lady never flinched.
The weather had now turned cold and the woman was without food as she was unable to get out in the snow covered roads. This particular morning she came out and said: "Praise the Lord, he will provide my food for me". The next morning, the woman came out onto her front porch to find two bags of groceries waiting for her, much to her delight, saying "The Lord has provided"! Suddenly, from out of the bushes jumps her atheist neighbor who exclaims: "I provided those groceries, not God; there is no God!".
