Title: Aviation Gas Post by: Numkut on September 20, 2005, 04:18:20 PM I read on another forum that it is ok to run Aviation gas, few other guys said it was bad. I would like to start using it if you can, I live right near a local airport. Anyone know if it is safe or not to use in dirtbikes?

He said that the fuel has ether [e-thir] (or however you spell it) in it and he added it mixed 80% gas 20% avaition fuel. I think thats how he said it. Someone else has to know more on here.

Unless you are using a high compression dome it would actually rob power on a stock compression motor. For peak performance you want to use the lowest octane possible that doesn't get you detonation. Lower the octane rating the easier is to ignite. -Mark
Title: Re: Aviation Gas Post by: Numkut on September 20, 2005, 05:23:34 PM My bike has a minimum of 95 octane and I can't find anything over 93 so I figured if I could mix in like 25-30% AV gas it would be a little better. I don't need to run it as I have been running 93 forever I was just curious.
