hey guys: I have a question and I wonder if someone can help me out. I am planning on getting a toy hauler, however it does not have the eye rings on the floor to secure the bikes. Does anyone have any method that may work? Maybe drill through the floor and bolt on a an eye ring or something??? I am not good with these things. Any help would be appreciatted.

go to tractor supply and buy the rings and put them where you want them

Inset Rings will probably require a router to be done right, unless you're good with a chisel  :)

Hard to tell from the picture, but one part is permenantly bolted down, and the ring has a spring release/slide so you can remove it from the floor and use it somewhere else.  they weren't cheap, but they work great, you can put the base all over your deck, and slip on the rings only in the places you need it...easy to relocate for different loading configurations.  The bolts go through the floor, with nuts/washers on the bottom...I went the extra effort and made sure I installed them at the location of the metal cross members of my trailer so they had a good solid attachment point (rather than just through the wood decking of the trailer).

My thoughts EXACTLY! Make sure you attach to a SECURE base or you may find a quad ricocheting around inside your toy-hauler! :'(

We do not tie ours down and they have never moved  :o
Even going down trails at RR ....LOL

Are you buying this trailer new? When I ordered my enclosed car trailer, the dealer asked me how many tie downs I wanted and where, then he put them in. I'd bet your dealer will do the same if you're buying new. Just a thought.

Be careful when you drill as to not drill into wires and hoses.

just drill threw the floor and bolt it from underneath. Where do you live? If your close I'll come by and do it for you.

Nope, but I know that it has probably been done by knowledgeable people. Probably some that does it all the time. LOL Plus I have seen many times when people just run a screw through the floor not knowing/thinking what could be underneath.

best to drill from the bottom up (a pain laying under the trailer), that way you can catch the metal cross members.  make sure you know what's above you in the trailer.
