Is the Raptor as good as it looks or what?

I have heard nothing but good things about it. The only thing that scares me is the EFI. That is only because I wouldn't be able to work on it..

EFI ROCKS YOU NEVER HAVE TO JET IT AGAIN IT AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS TO WHATEVER MODS YOU PUT ON THE BIKE

My cosin got one its really got power he took the air Filter off and the lid and you could hear it ajusting whene you turned the key!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shocks suck. No rezi's in the front. look like that came off a honda 250...

Well the front shocks are not that bad anyways.  But im looking to get Elka's one of these days.

Those shocks are no joke!! But you can always get BETTER!!!!!!!! ;)

Not he air filter but the Lid.  What's wrong of taking the Lid off?

nothing but he said filter and i was think wtf u must be really stupid..
but the lid is ok i have my lid off.. most ppl do.

Let me say this.. In the holeshot, 3 out of 4 times ahead of the raptor 700rs in my class.

Ya Dr. dirt is right.....I have a raptor that will beat yours and i still get whooped by yfz's.....unless they are stock then i can beat them  ;D

I was reading the reviews in atv news and they say that the 700r raptor efi has now way to remap the ecm if you install a pipe or remove your air box with out reprograming the ecm it will cause the efi to lean out! and they also stated that in a flat out drag race the yfz 450 and the 700r was about the same it all came down to the whole shot.

thats my 2c and I dont really like the raptors or the yfz but if I had to choose it would be the yfz anyday!

when i had my first trx450r.
i won almost every race against yfz's..
i only remeber two i lost.
on was to adam with his walsh axis yfz that thing is soooo nasty.and another to a guy at sand mountain it was l.e black one with paddles. i think he was a sleeper..
but i won alot of them. but from what i hear the 700r is suposed to be a good contender for the 450r and yfz450's..

No, not really. It makes alot of useless posts and has an uncle that owns every thing ever made in the world....Oh, you mean the quad...Yeah.. it looks nice  ;)

Finally I know, now that the YFZ is faster :P I cant wait to blow 700

i have a 02 raptor 660 with a jet kit and a gyt-r pipe and i can beat a yfz in a drag race but will lose on the track........and for those with the yfz that might not thinnk so well lets race......we can even make it fun put a lil something on the line >:D

name the time and the place next week after i get my curtis sparks pipe and jet, air kit in my 06! i will smoke that little raptor! 8)
