im looking to get either a Honda Trx 405 or a Yamaha yfz 450....any opinions about my choice?

never seen the honda in action but them yfz`s are crazy fast.

nothin beats a yamaha. you have to put some money in the hondas engine to get up with the yamaha. plus the yammi is so much more comftorable in the air. and its lower to the ground. ;)

my uncle used to have a yamahaw 500 dirt bike that thing ripped but he likes honda and thats y he got a 300 fourtrax 4x4 plus my dad had one.my dad and uncle r twins they looked alike when they were kids but they look dif now and act dif uncles crazy like me dads like laid back kinda lol

I've always heard of the YFZ450 being the fastest between the two. I personally would go with Yamaha but Honda is still a good company.

the yfz's are also nice but like my friend rides at seminole with a stock 450r and he like totally beat this dude hard with a stock YFZ so i beg to differ from what ur trying to tell me either way im a Honda freak so my mind wont be changed even though i m ay be getting a suzuki i love honda still and i  dont know but those 450r's r like a champion race bike from some of these races or sumthing like that

alright ill give that they are nice but if your racing stock agianst stock its all up to the rider
 but yamaha's better  ;) in my book it is

warriors rule, warrior is a yamaha, yamaha rules, ltz400 rules, ltz 400 is a suzuki, suzuki rules and the same for artic cat(dvx 400) and kawasaki(kfx400), its not that i ddont like honda, its just that i like EVERYTHING ELSE more :P

tisk tisk tisk, not this again greg, notice how i said the dvx and the z400 before the kfx lol, but i will admit the kfx looks nice in real life, i couldnt tell you how it ridews though :-\ :P

i like the way the OLD 450r looks, so id take a 450r body, but a yfz450 engine :P

yamahas are way faster ;) ;)

since I don't get out on the track, my opinion is based on reputation and longevity.

all I have heard about the yfz's tells me that they might spank the 450r's on the track stock,,,but the 450r has built in HONDA longevity, and will last much longer before an engine breakdown,,,,and also HONDA engines are almost always built "de-tuned" where there isn't much you have to do to them to get more power out of them.

just my opinion and experience with HONDA engines.

Well look Yamaha & Honda are very good quads.  I personally know Honda's will last a life time.
