I wish I could race again :( I loved racing in the FTR ;) I just started going to Pain Management and saw a Neurologist and there is nothing they can do for my back >:( They said "NO Air Time" LOL, so I have to sell the boat also :( can't handle the pounding, but at least I can go play in the mud on my 4x4 ;) To all the other ladies out there you should check it out for a least 1 season ;) It's a blast! Good luck this year Jen! Title: Re: Quad Scrambles Post by: Albright335 on August 12, 2005, 01:16:15 PM Sorry to hear about your back :-[ But like you said...at least you don't have to stop riding all together ;)
Thanks for the "good luck"....I will be racing the Men's Open B class in FTR - should be an interesting year! ;) Jen Title: Re: Quad Scrambles Post by: kawGIRL on August 12, 2005, 02:55:59 PM You go Girl ;D Think about me now and then .... I'm envious ;)
Title: Re: Quad Scrambles Post by: Kat1333 on August 25, 2005, 12:03:09 PM That is so cool that both of you have raced and one is still racing. I am interested, although I just started on 4 wheels as of Saturday last week and I am very old to do that sort of stuff (LOL). I also have to think that if I (mom) goes racing, I really can't tell my two sons 22 and 20 not to do it. (I would really prefer them not to). If you don't mind me asking Kawgirl, "how did you get hurt?" and Jen, how competitive are the Golden Girls and are there some beginners??? Thanks for the info and You two are TOO COOL. You both are my heros. I hope I grow up to be at least as cool as that. :) Hope to see and meet you on the October ride.

Now is the time to get into the racing mode. I'm not talking about watching you husband, boyfriend or children race. If you ever thought about racing quads... now is your chance to get you feet wet. We have a NEW series this year for Quads. (FTR) I guarantee that you will have a good time and the mud bath's are FREE! The first Quad Scramble is on the weekend of October 22 & 23. We feature the Women's class age 16-39 and the Golden Girls age 40+ (which I am a proud member of). Come join us and you will have a GREAT time. All types of women racers... from the Sunday joy rider to the competitive racer. I have completed my second year of racing and just love it. Come out and give it a try. Title: Re: Quad Scrambles Post by: Kat1333 on August 29, 2005, 02:57:22 PM How do I find out about races in my area, which is now North Central Florida or close to it? where are the races you are speaking of in Oct.? I would like to at least watch and learn. Thanks for the info. Not ready yet, just wishful/hopeful thinking. My sons and I are going on our first real ride on our new quads at the Eureka Dam Ride II. I will see how I do then. My sons will always be fine, I want to see how well I do. ???

My injury is 5 bulging disc's and 5 deteriorated Facial Joints in my lower lumbar plus arthritis, when it's aggravated I get fluid around the joint (Like water on the knee) I have a cist on one of the joints. The Dr. asked "How Much air time do you get?" I said NONE ...LOL, all of my years of boating I think started it, Jumping wakes are very bad too ;) So there is NO fixing it, if the 1800 mg of Motrin a day does not work they will go in with 3 needles of anti-inflammatory around the joints. I did have to pull my bike out of a few mud holes in a hurry when nobody was around to help. P.S. I did race the Golden Girls and they Kick A$$, no slouches there :) Title: Re: Quad Scrambles Post by: kawiepower on August 30, 2005, 06:21:15 PM KAT1333,
