Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: atvdad6 on August 12, 2005, 12:54:35 AM I have not been on this web page for 2-3 mths & got on for the first time tonight.I saw your post and decided to respond. I have 2 camps out at Holopaw. It is a great place to ride. The grounds change all the time depending on the weather. For 3 weeks it was perfect out there, but we have had a lot of rain lately & its going to be wet which I like. I am going out next weekend(8/19/05) or the weekend afterwards to mow/play/ride.You need to be a member/owner to gain access. If you want to come out & tour PM me and I will be happy to give you the nickle tour. You can buy land for as cheep as $2500.00/1.25 ACRES. It will be swamp land but will at least give you access to the land. I can but you in touch w/ people that have land for sale if you are interested. You can put up to 4 names on the deed wc/ makes it pretty cheep & all 4 of you get a key to the gate.

Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: atvdad6 on August 12, 2005, 10:27:35 AM It gives you access to the entire property. I have been told it is 17000 acres, but I don't think it is that big.
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: SwampRat on August 12, 2005, 11:06:29 AM What are the roads like going in and out?
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Eworm on August 12, 2005, 11:59:18 AM are there any sand trails or is it all wet and swamp land?
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: kawGIRL on August 12, 2005, 12:03:32 PM It gives you access to the entire property. I have been told it is 17000 acres, but I don't think it is that big. Only 8800 acres and most of that is under water LOL Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Big Bear on August 12, 2005, 03:58:16 PM I have never heard of holy paw where is it?
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Bleedsblue on August 12, 2005, 04:52:48 PM How many acres does owning in there give you access too? Isn't Holeypaw near Yeehaw Junction? It's about 25 miles north of Yeehaw Junction. If you don't have a camp you would part at the pavilion near the front gate. Most vehicles can get in there if it's not too wet but if there is a lot of rain there can be a couple of mud pits to get around. Anything beyond the pavilion depends on how wet it is out at that time. If it's dry there is sugar sand and it gets deep, if it's really wet there are lots of washouts to look out for and the main trail gets really torn up by Sunday afternoon. Definitely a great place to go riding. Bill Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: mudhawg on August 12, 2005, 05:56:49 PM i think its great, lots of mud and trails

Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: muddinguy1034 on August 16, 2005, 04:09:47 PM it is not half under water there is so much ridding out there so many times and when we go on the night rides i have still not have seen the same trail twice i think that is by far the best place to ride all year it does get wet out there in the summer winter riding out there is the best my parents bought 20 lots out there i don't know how much it cost though
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: kawGIRL on August 16, 2005, 04:19:45 PM You have to go to this Website: http://www.suburbanestates.net/
It is "forbidden" to talk about here ;D Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Jellie400 on August 23, 2005, 11:31:17 PM Hollopaw is a great place to ride, if you own a sport quad i would consider going during the summer because it is real muddy, you'll spend most the day getting stuck, but once it dries up there are trails for days, lots of fun and a great place to ride
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Seabeejim on August 25, 2005, 01:44:47 PM Holopaw is a great place to ride both sport and UTE's. Lots of land and we are gonna be there Labor Day camping and riding.
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Mattism78 on August 30, 2005, 07:44:12 PM My buddy's dad has a lot out there. We went out one time when I had my Ranger 4x4. I was wishing the ENTIRE time that I was on my ATV. I couldn't believe all the people that were out there just having a good time, riding trails. I am definately headed back out there once it cools off a bit.

Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: muddinguy1034 on August 30, 2005, 09:28:52 PM is any body going to be out there this weekend ?
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: muddinguy1034 on September 01, 2005, 09:58:00 AM i think all you people need to get your facts right before you it is not half under water there is no fence around a 4000 arcer peace of land that someone owns with cows on it there are a couple of lots that have cows on it but deffintly not 4000 lots that fenced off
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Bleedsblue on September 01, 2005, 04:29:54 PM I didn't think this was a fact finding mission. You wanted to talk about Holopaw and everything said was truthful. A very large portion of Joe O'berrys property is fenced in and has cows on it. Sure maybe not all of his 4,000 acres (he sells off lots from time to time including mine and they aren't within his fenced in section for obvious reasons). Do you know exactly how much of it is fenced in? Of course not that's why a general comment was made.
As for how much is under water how long and how much of SE have you ridden through? I just bought property out there this year but have been riding out there for a bit over 2 years and during the summer most of the area is saturated and wet. Almost all of it is swamp land / wet land...especially the north side of SE. There are some trails that get dry during the winter but just about every trail has water. Bill Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Brute Force on September 02, 2005, 04:13:52 PM My buddy has property out at Holopaw and I'd have to say it’s a nice place to ride. I've been going to 5A allot because its close, but having your vehicle in a fenced in area makes me feel safer leaving my stuff and going for a long ride. Swimming holes are nice too.
Camping out at Holopaw this weekend, just not sure what nights. Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: hondaonly on September 05, 2005, 08:11:43 PM where r the swimming holes? is it safe to leave your truck up front?
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: muddinguy1034 on September 05, 2005, 08:53:18 PM during the winter it dries up a lot there is alot more trails to ride on
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Mrs.Nightbreed on September 05, 2005, 09:15:41 PM where r the swimming holes? is it safe to leave your truck up front? Yes it is safe to leave your truck. I have left ours overnight and never had a problem. To get to the swimming hole you take the main road all the way to the back and turn right it is a ways down on the left. Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: muddinguy1034 on September 06, 2005, 07:23:15 PM yea what he said i have never herd about anybody getting any thing riped off

Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Mrs.Nightbreed on September 06, 2005, 10:07:31 PM more than you'd think ;)
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: shadow on September 07, 2005, 07:29:10 AM Upfront may be safe, I'd be choosy. I put up a shade tent up this summer and 5 days later it was gone. It was 20 feet long so nothing is to big for them low lifes to steal!
Title: Re: how come nobody ever talks about holeypaw Post by: Brute Force on September 07, 2005, 01:05:27 PM Nothing I think is ever 100% safe. Locks for example are for keeping honest people honest.
Is anyone planning on going to Holopaw this weekend at all?
