Run Ricky run! Oh, wait Ricky says he won't run like he use to so don't expect much. Title: Re: football Post by: CABLEGUY1 on August 11, 2005, 06:43:42 PM The Dolphins ??? Now that's about as likely as the Bengals :D First of all Ricky is a proven quality running back. He is still allowed to practice with the team as well as play preseason. If they don't trade him after his 4 game suspension they will have an experienced, healthy, rested back to come in with fresh legs. Remember he broke records of most carries and most yards etc in the NFL before retiring. If not traded he will be a force. And don't forget Ronnie Brown the 2nd round pick. He has the potential to be a great back also. Oh yeah. A p#ssy for a quarterback? Where did that come from. Ferrotte played one pre season game for us and he's a p#ssy? Feeley came in last year when Feidler went down and pulled his weight considering the time he had to learn the playbook and get in sync with his team mates. There still stacked with talent defensively " Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, David Bowens, Junior Seau, Sam Madison etc etc. Besides Ricky and Ronnie Brown they still have Chris Chambers, Marty Booker, Randy McMichael, David Boston who is a quality receiver with stats to prove it and is now healthy again, etc. Don't forget coach Saban who has winning records any where he has coached and his hand picked assistant coaches. When Ricky walked out of camp last year he left the fins hanging. There draft picks and signings last year were based on him being here. There offense was built around him. There play book was taylored to him. This past offseason they took him out of the equation and addressed there needs accordingly. There main weakness is the line. Once the newer young guys start to gel the QBs will be okay. The new coaching staff, new philosophy, recent draft picks, and healthy players coming back will help tremendously. Yes I'm a huge Dolphins fan. Yes you hit a nerve. And yes you have no clue what your talking about when it comes to the Dolphins. You must be a west coast fan. Run Ricky run! I dont expect them to do very well this year considering the variables. Last year does not count since expectations were high prior to Ricky retiring. I do like the new coach and alot of the assistant coaches are proven guys. I'll be happy if were around 500 this year. The new defensive scheme is what we should have been playing with these guys for the past 5 years. Did you see the 4 sacks last night against the first string of Jacksonville? Dave Wannstedt was just to conservative of a coach to let our Defense attack. I'll be there this year at every 1:00pm game. It's going to be a hot year.

His strength is when he's on the move. Dan Marino always had one of the highest QB ratings during his years in the NFL and it only got him to the Super Bowl once. Unfortunately, there is no statistic factored into the QB rating regarding how a QB like Vick impacts the opponents defensive strategy prior to and during the game. Usually at team will keep a "spie" on a QB like Vick which means that is one less guy to tackle a receiver/running back and/or pass cover, blitz, etc. My point is that the QB rating scale is often misleading.

Kick a guy when he's down ha? LOL. Our running game didn't show. We didn't run block well at all. That's alright though. I'm a big boy,I can take it. We were one running back away from winning. And he will be back soon enough. Also did you see all the dropped passes? Some crucial ones by Chambers. This was a mistake loss. Penalties and mistakes. Were definately better than the Jets. New coaches, running back, quarter back etc. They just weren't in sync. I promise you this. They don't stand a chance December 18th. I was wondering how long it would be before you busted my b@lls. What team loses to Jets these days, Oh wait, that would be the Dolphins :) Carolina? Please, they have been circling the toilet for the last couple of years. Who's next for the the Dolphins to beat? High School Teams? Middle School? Where does it end? :) I must give them credit for the 2 wins, there's some hope, but when they do face a real team it's gonna be ugly :) For now I'm going to stay with the BUC's and the Cadillac, proving already to be better runner than Ricky and you don't have to hold a bag of the finest green at the Goal line for him to run :) Title: Re: football Post by: Honda250ex on September 26, 2005, 09:32:07 PM Go Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Title: Re: football Post by: CABLEGUY1 on September 26, 2005, 09:33:24 PM Are you talking about the same Buc team that beat the struggling Vikings and only scored a touchdown in the entire second half which came on cadillacs 71 yard run with like a minute left due to a missed tackle? Other than that one touchdown there offense looked pathetic in the second half. Or the same Bucs team that looked average against the lowly Bills? Or the Buc team that was held scorless in the second half by an 0 and 3 Packer team that lost by only one point? And that was only because of an official blowing the whistle to early to overturn a Bucs fumble. The minnesota game and the Green Bay game were gifts. The Fins on the other hand STOMPED the Bronco team that went to the playoffs last year with the best defense in there division. The same Dolphins team that beat Carolina who the week before beat the Super Bowl champions. And last but not least the same Dolphin team that already beat the Bucs in preseason. Do you honestly believe that Cadillac can keep up the same pace thru an NFL season? If you do you must have been smoking kryptonite with Ricky Williams. I take back the offer to get back on the wagon. Your still to delusional.LOL. At least the Bucs can pick on the basket case Lions next week for one more feel good game before reality sets in. Uh oh. The lions beat Green Bay to. Wouldn't that be funny?

TO ALL YOU GATOR FANS OUT THERE, YOU GUYS SHOULDNT BE THINKING ABOUT SEC CHAMPS, WHO CARES ABOUT WINNING THERE CONFRENCE, YOU SHOULD ONLY BE THINKING ONE THING, "NATIONAL CHAMPS", BUT THATS SOMETHING YOU GATORS WONT SEE FOR A LONG TIME, BESIDES ITS ALL ABOUT THE U, AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN ABOUT DA U !!!!!!!!! C A N E S, CANES CANES CANES!!!!! NOW LETS GET SERIOUS I WANT TO FIRST GET STARTED BY SAYING TO CABLE GUY, YOU SAID SOMETHING ABOUT SOMEBODY SMOKING KRYPTONITE, WHERE THEY AT? ME HIM AND RICKY NEED TO HANG OUT AS FAR AS THE GUY EARLIER WHO SD HE WONT CHEER FOR RICKY THIS YEAR. I FELT THE SAME WAY YOU DID LAST YEAR UNTILL THE END OF LAST SEASON. IF RICKY WOULDNT HAVE QUIT WE WOULD PROBABLY STILL HAVE SORRY A$$ WAENSTEDT AS OUR COACH, SAME ASST COACHES AND SAME SORRY OFFENSIVE LINE. IT TOOK RICKY QUITTING FOR US TO MAKE A CHANGE AND FOR THAT IM HAPPY. I AGREE HE SHOULDNT HAVE QUIT THE WAY HE DID BUT MAN I DONT BLAME HIM, THE WAY WAENSTEDT WAS WORKING HIM HE WOULD HAVE WOUND UP A CRIPPLE.SO LET ME GUESS WHEN WE HAVE A FRESH RICKY COMING IN WEEEK 6 AGAINST AN OVERRATED BUCS D AND RUSH FOR 2 TD'S AND WE WIN 14-0, YOUR NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY CUZ IT WAS RICKY WHO SCORED FOR US, PLEASE, GET OVER IT. AS FAR AS THE BUCS ARE CONCERNED, YOU GUYS ARE DONE, THE ONLY GOOD PLAYER ON YOUR TEAM WENT FROM BEING A GOOD RUNNING CADILLAC TO A BROKEN DOWN FORD TEMPO, THAT PRETTY MUCH SUMS UP THE BUCS SEASON!!!! GO PHINS!!!!! Title: Re: football Post by: YAM29C on October 14, 2005, 10:36:10 AM Well its two more days until everyone sees the tru bucs team when Miami comes in and runs all over them. Oh wait I think everyone saw that last week when 42 year old Vinny put a veteran(or are they called something else when their that old)woopin on them, even though I HATE the jets I loved seeing them put a woopin on the Bucs. And i know the jets also beat the dolphins but a Chad pennington lead jets team beat the dolphins not an old crippled Vinny T. team. Cant wait to see that Ronnie & Ricky backfield just run all over this so called #1 defense. Ya'll might have the caddy but with ricky and ronnie we have the f350 powerstroke lifted up of 44's.

Where are all the Buc fans. Come on now. I talk smack but I'll be here for the pay back should Miami lose. Could it be that Buc fans really know Miami is the better team? The best thing the Bucs can hope for is for Griese to get injured early in the game so Gruden can put in another quarterback. Or for the Dolphins all to come down with the flu. Short of that it will be a long day in Tampa. I can't wait. Well be at the 20 yard line only a few rows up. Well be on the Dolphins side so I wont be able to hear Gruden crying. :'( :'( :'( .

Title: Re: football Post by: CABLEGUY1 on October 17, 2005, 07:35:37 PM Okay as stated previously, I'm here. Without excuses , without what ifs , and without the old " you got lucky" statement. I'm here to eat my humble pie. I must say I was surprised. Tampa showed why they are the #1 rated defense. The game went as I expected in the first half but after Pitman broke that fifty something yard touchdown at the end of the third quarter and then on the next series they picked up Ferrots fumble and ran it in for another touchdown I new it was over. That seemed to brake Miamis back. THE BUCS WERE THE BETTER TEAM YESTERDAY. There I said it. Okay Buc fans? LOL. That being said let me say this. The Fins will destroty KC next week. I was in the third row at the ten yard line so at least I was able to see some up close action. I will leave you with some pictures from the game, but remember next week ILL BE BACK!!!!!!

Well to be honest I'm sure we were out of town riding and enjoying ourselves. You see we can do this because it's easy to relax when you know you're going to win. We don't have to stay home, read the paper and internet to check stats, and worry if we will lose. It's in the stars.
Cableguy, are you going to be ok? Really you should sit down and prop your legs up. I know it took alot to come out and say it loud and proud. Be careful you don't go into shock. Oh and one last thought....someone gave a play by play of how we won our games and tried to down play the Bucs. Either way at the end of the day our stats say 5-1 and first in the division. Like I say every weekend. Win or Lose. GO BUCS! Title: Re: football Post by: CABLEGUY1 on October 17, 2005, 08:31:25 PM I noticed someone asked where the Bucs fans were. We don't have to stay home, read the paper and internet to check stats, and worry if we will lose. It's in the stars. Hey QT, It's not that I HAVE to stay home and read the paper or the internet to check stats, I choose to do that. That's what they call a "Die hard fan". You see there's a difference between a fair weather fan and a die hard. And I was enjoying myself also only I was at the game enjoying myself. Had I not had tickets and had gotten my RV fixed I to would have been riding and watching the game in between. Again, another difference between a die hard fan and a fair weather fan. Don't worry you'll get there. Oh yeah, don't get confused I didn't say it loud and proud I said it grudgingly. That's called "if your gonna talk the talk you have to walk the walk". That's what die hard----- oh never mind. I was satisfied with admitting defeat and giving credit but QT had to go and open the flood gates. LOL. This is the last time you will hear this from me so pay attention. THE BUCS WERE THE BETTER TEAM YESTERDAY. Okay now that that's out of the way listen up. I have to bring the smack early. If you think for a minute that the Bucs are as good as there record your wrong. QT the facts don't lie. Tampa squeaked by some poor teams and are reaping the benefits. Yes the W is all that matters but your reality check is right around the corner. The question is when the bottom falls out will you be here to talk smack or will you only post after a win? The "we were riding enjoying ourselves" excuse will only work once. Enjoy the high now the hang over is coming soon. Cableguy, are you going to be ok? Really you should sit down and prop your legs up. I know it took alot to come out and say it loud and proud. Be careful you don't go into shock. Seems like all the scoring was down at our end. Which was great. Way to take your medicine. Buc fans know how the Phins must feel. Last year we couldn't beat anyone 5-11. Ricky was not running like he used to this week. Well, we got 2 weeks to talk about this game before the 49ers. This is our by week and Im going riding this weekend :) Title: Re: football Post by: CABLEGUY1 on October 17, 2005, 09:59:36 PM cubnfrank, that was only the second time I went to a game there and I have to say it was cool being that close to the sidelines even though we lost. I would rather sit there than in the suite. Unless there serving beer and food in the suite.LOL. We were outplayed. It's hard to beat a team in there own house especially one that has a defense like Tampa. Take away Pittman and I wasn't impressed with either teams offense. But it was that D that put a beat down on us. Life goes on. :'( I hope we take it out on Kansas City next week. It was a good game until the end of the third quarter than the levy broke. No sour grapes here we got our butts kicked. I bleed auqa and orange though. Always have always will. I know one things for sure. When I die someone will inherit a nice collection of memorabila. Unopened Dr Pepper bottle from perfect season with schedule on it, a ticket from 1966, the first Dolphin win coached by George Wilson, an authentic football signed by Marino, etc etc etc. No I'm not that old. LOL. Now that our game is over I won't root against the Bucs. I just wanted to rattle a few cages before the game. ;D

If there defense has a good game they have a chance. They will probably need a defensive score or two or maybe a couple field goals and they could still pull it off but it will depend on there defense. I thought it was a bonehead move to send home one of there star defensive players. They should have just fined him and let him play but I think theres more to it behind the scenes. The schedule gets tough now playing teams with winning records. They need to bring a veteran QB out of retirement as an insurance policy. Even Testaverde would look good now. It could always be worse, you could be a Miami fan. There killing me. A few of us plan on going to Croom Veterans day weekend if your interested. I'll have the game on in the RV for the die hards.LOL.Title: Re: football Post by: cubnfrank on November 02, 2005, 08:34:55 AM Cableguy, your right they need the defense to step up with some points.
