What do you say we try the asphalt out for fun.  I am trying to find out if the 4th saturday would be good for me.  I will get in touch with lakeland this week probably, but i think they start around 6 pm.  i think we got a few people wanting to roll out there....
me, ware, watson boyz, 400ex, i know for sure....
cut, dynodon, tribals, etc, you guys wanna join in?  I will trying to find out a date by the weekend...

That would be fun, we used to do the truck tug o war there. I dont think my 450 would be very impressive at that distance, but I have learned by watching Smoke that losing isnt so bad ;D.

what about rear tires? i have some flattrack tires but im not sure they are very balanced.....

ware - i will give an update on the safety equipment...i will probably have one set of american racers by then.  i would recommend atleast having the front tires balanced, and the rear tires ALSO.  I might have my stock tires too, just to blow some smoke.  I will get in touch with the race track probably this week.  Where are the beer drinking cheerleaders at?  quad, yamahonda, gasgasman, etc.  Actually those are the fat slug groind bone heads aren't they......

Hate to hijack the post but you can put my old 2003 DURAMAX in with the truck racing , it has yet to be beat by another truck, you cant miss it white 4-door dually 4X4, says PLEDGER MOTORSPORTS across the front windshield, and for you FORD 6.0 diesel fans I have got one of those and hopped it up to the max, AND IT DOES NOT COME CLOSE TO BEATING MY CHEVY 8) 8) 8)

Easy smoke, dont snatch that isf crap front end out from under that chebby. Pavement is the only place that a chevy truck will do any good.

My CHEVY is not set up for pullin, but as I said it is set up for some (black cloud out the neighborhood racing) from point A to point B,but there is ways to burn all that extra fuel, get rid of some of that black cloud, and leave some ford and dodge in the dust though!!!!!
and yes I got a quad that runs that good too, only it races through the woods for 2+hrs at a time!!!!!

I 1/8 mile drag race at least 2-3 times a month at my local drag strip in Immokalee. I would not mind racing on the black top, its alot cleaner and you go was faster. ;D

I will be more than happy to follow you down the asphalt track on my HAYABUSA, then the fun will really start when we hit the woods track!!!!!

I asked about rules on the Lakeland forum heres what I got
I BELIEVE WE WOULD FOLLOW SAME REQUIREMENTS AS MOTORCYCLES....HELMETS, LEATHER JACKET, LONG PANTS, SHOES OR BOOTS AND GLOVES WOULD BE SMART......MAINLY THE SAFETY STUFF.

WE AHVE ALOT OF 4 WHEELERS UP HERE. ONE GUY CAME IN SATURDAY WITH 5 ON HIS TRAILER ALONE. WE ALSO HAVE A BANSHEE THAT WAS DOING 95 MPH IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY.

COME ON UP AND HAVE SOME FUN!

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRIDAY NIGHT. WE'RE OPEN TILL JUST ABOUT MIDNIGHT. I THINK ITS 8 BUCKS TO GET IN AND $5.00 TO RUN ALL NIGHT........

i have heard and read alot of stuff about the spiveys place(lakeland strip) and last i heard the drag strip was HORRIBLE people wouldnt even race there cars out there for awhile, im not sure if its fixed or not. i only go in the mudhole and watch the strip never acutally been on it myself, i did see a nice banshee go straight up in the air and flip bout a year ago out there.

Whoever said anything about a hayabusa???  so your saying you won't race me on the street, cause i am gonna smoke your woods bike, but yet you wanna race in the woods cause you can beat me?  Either let's play fair or not play at all...

SMOKNBANSHEE, I know that your Banshee will beat my yfz450 in a straight line drag race but put it on a woods course or a MX track and if that banshee will last it will see the beating of its life, to bad I crashed my quad at HARDROCK last sunday and it is trashed up pretty good!!!

 That is one bad a$$ BUSA I see it will run at least 8.20  it kinda looks like my friend Brian Schultzs' old BUSA, and as far as keeping it down I know I can I have been 8.70 with NO BAR ON THE BACK 8) 8)

780 et at 175 mph with my big a$$ on it brian was a good friend of mine we raced a lot together   what wheel base you running 870 no bar thats good   you  go to hard rock  my son races dirt bikes there we go there all the time it 20 mins from my house ;D

Yes I grew up with Brian  R.I.P., my father used to own the yamaha shop in town and him and Dave were really tight, seems my dad only did alot of backstreet racing, and it runs in my blood as much as I hate to say it, me and Brian built a few sleeper bikes with the bottle hidden and had lot$ of fun, took awhile to learn the turbo deal though, but it is the $hit when it is tuned I see you are capable of running the old index of top-gas that is running, I was at hardrock for some seat time and had a bad day, I would like to ride that BUSA though!!!

well if you guys or gals would like some practice there is a motorcycle/quad race in douglas ga the 3rd weekend in september .  I think all you would have to have would be a jacket, longpants, and a helmet. They are going to haveseveral different classes for the four wheelers so you can race several classes.

if you call that practice....if this is the event that is giving out 30k garunteed, that is the event all the puerto rican bikes are coming up too and that won't be a practice....not even worth us taking our stuff there...we are not set up to race their class rules, we usually race sand.

I-4 to 33north. North for about 1mile and its on your left. Go in the entrance and veer to the left entrance(the right entrance is the mudhole).

"POPS" HAS BEEN DOING SOME TEST AND TUNE THERE THE LAST COUPLE OF THURSDAY NIGHTS! HE MAY HAVE GONE TONIGHT! THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A QUAD BEAT HIM OUT THERE SO IT WOULD BE GOOD TO GET SOME REAL COMPETITION! I KNOW HES BEEN HITTING JUST SHY OF 110 MPH IN THE 1/8! SOME OF THE PEURTO RICAN BOYS HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT GOING THERE AS WELL! SOME OF THEIR WATERCRAFT ENGINES CAN HIT ABOUT 120 IN THE 1/8TH! THATS PRETTY SICK!

He hasnt been comming on thursday nights because i'm there every thursday night with my bike and car and there has been no 4 wheeler running over 100mph atleast on thursday night.

i saw a couple banshees out there tonight, they were only hittin 87-88mph in the 8th, and the kid on the Yamaha Beartracker 250 hit 44mph.  I dont know much about drag quads but they looked like they were set up pretty good.
