Title: replacing impeller seal on 05 polaris?
Post by: muddmxr2 on August 02, 2005, 06:30:59 PM
noticed some antifreeze underneath the right hand cover, looks like its coming out a "weep" hole, how bad is it to change out ? will i have to pull the flywheel, stater, starter ? talked to two different dealers today and they each said something different, i also looked up the parts breakdown on polaris web site, its totaly different from the breakdown in the service manual, so not sure what to do, any help would be great, the bike is an 05 polaris sportsman 700 efi, thanks, scott

thanks for the offer, u do have to pull the flywheel, stator and cover underneath to replace the seal, decided to take it to the dealr and let him do it. i also had a few codes in the pcm and they needed to fix that also, should be ready tomorrow, besides its under warranty.
