in your sig it says shaved 40 over, do you actually mean that they shaved 40 thousands off of the head to increase the compression of the motor?  you really want to have some seat of the pants horsepower added on, have the jugs ported by a reputable builder.  a big bore kit does not increase that much hp on a 2 stroke, it is the port timing, and port work that gives you the big gains in the hp #'s...if you need some help pm me, and I can get you in touch with some reputable builders.  bike looks good though...

how did you check the speed? and stop running rom the cops because all your doing is giving the rest of us a bad rep!

also if ya want to really make some more power get away from toomeys and go with shear big bore pipes will give you probably 8-10 more real hp. Toomeys are great pipes don't get me wrong, I ran them myself but don't compare to the new pipes out. You will not believe the difference! ;D

Back on topic. Ditch the T-5's and get CPI inframe drags if you want all out topend. -Mark

back to the subject, stroke it and port it, CPI inframes, then you will get you some seat of the pants feel good and put out over 75 hp.  that is what i am talking about.

ill have to admit the CPI pipes are the best performers on the Shee's

well depends on what your motor is built for.....some motors perform better with shearer, cpi, rockets, etc....

man, i wish i would of known about the ocala trip, because i would of had to come out and redeem the banshee, because the only time my banshee has ever been behind a ds650 was when it was loaded on the trailer....

go to ebay and look for cpi's or go to planetsand.com and they have them for sale on there all day long....

Assumptions - your bike tops out at 10,000 rpm's and that is being generous with T-5 pipes.  You can pull all the gear that you will have to have to run 103 mph, again being generous that the motor can actually pull the tall 6th gear.  Here is what it would take.  I have the spreadsheet with gear ratio's to back it up.  And believe me you can ask anybody on this website, I might talk smack, but when it comes down to it, I got the paper to back it up.

20" tires here is the gear ratio to reach 103 mph.
14 front 32 rear 103.69 mph
15 front 34 rear 104.56 mph
16 front 37 rear 102.49 mph
17 front 39 rear 103.31 mph
18 front 41 rear 104.05 mph

22" tires here is the gear ratio to reach 103 mph.
14 front 35 rear 104.28 mph
15 front 38 rear 102.91 mph
16 front 40 rear 104.28 mph
17 front 43 rear 103.07 mph
18 front 45 rear 104.28 mph

Vito's performance (I think vitosperformance.net)is a banshee distributor. They are a bit pricey but pull like no other once you hit mid range and up. T-5's are nice and do give more bottom end but won't out flow CPI's. I can't even put my hands around the expantion their that big. But you have to cut your fenders a little to get them to fit and always have to wear pants as I've been burned several times on my frineds shee with them. -Mark

i dont know where you guys are getting actuall mph.  the drag banshee i posted did 109mph in the 1/4 and topped at 118mph. so i dont see where 103 is comming from.

ok to clear this up turbobanshee kid doesn't have a 400cc banshee and it did not do 103. it did get alot of work done only because he seized a piston or something
