Title: Dr.D Pipe ???
Post by: wheelie_boy on July 17, 2005, 05:53:55 PM
I have an 05 kfx 400 and its bone stock and i really wanted to get a pipe.  I have been doing research and i really like the Dr.D pipe and the white bros e series because of the style of the pipes and how cheap they are.  It would be $250 for myself to buy the DR.D slip on with the spark arrestor and i was wondering if that was a good pipe? And i was also wondering if i would need to buy the quiet core insert for about 40 bucks more in order to ride in places very strict about the sound?
         thanks in advance.

Save up the extra cabbage for a full pipe. Id say try to find a sparks pipe.

Is it worth the extra money for the full pipe? ANd isnt the full pipe just a new head pipe along with the rear part?

If your not racing is isn't worth the extra money. Yes, a full system is the front pipe and silencer.

i just ordered a dr.d slip on.    reason being   i need to be under 96db for next season.   its supposed to be the highest power/lowest db on the market.   im running an esr complete pro series now and the power band is incredible, but its loud as h3ll.   all u really gain with the aftermarket is 2 horses tops. key is to jet it dead on.   the numbers the manufactures send for your jets might be slightly off,     all because we are at sea level and all the big aftermarket companies are in the  mid-west or so. cal.   if u have the dirt wheels  aug. 2004 issue     it has a complete shootout with all different pipes.    dr. d was the winner.
