The 45th Annual Pumpkin Run is scheduled for October 23rd, 24th and 25th. in Samsula Florida off SR 415.

Couple changes this year I wanted to make everyone aware of.

1st....The Poker Run will be for the first 100 people that sign up at the event, that's a THOUSAND dollars to one lucky winner. The time has also shifted to 3:00pm till 6:00pm.

2nd...Pre-Registration (online) is still $35.00 with a free T-shirt, but if you wait to pay at the gate the price is now $45.00 with NO free T-shirt.

3rd.... We are making arrangements to be able to swipe major credit and debit cards at the gate for post entry.

4th.....Children 12 and under are now $20.00 each.

5th....We are looking at a width and length restriction on side x sides.....Our current trails can't accommodate some of these new massive machines.

The Pumpkin Run Home page has been updated and the new flyer added.

We have decided to place a width and length restriction on our main trail this year.....66" wide and 120" long. For those with extra wide and or extra long 4 wheelers and side x sides, you will be able to bring them to the event and participate in the daytime activities (water wheelie, Quad-R-Totter and Poker run) but there will be barricades (telephone poles) in place that you won't be able to fit through to access the main trail. We are sorry that we can not accommodate the larger crowd, but our tight wooded trails can be quite destructive to extra wide / long machines.

Also, when registration opens you will only be able to purchase one entry at a time, please use the name of each participant going to the event, don't forget to choose your T-shirt size and print a receipt for each participant along with a signed waiver and bring it with you......this is your ticket to get in.

Today, our club will be honoring the memory of one of our own. Many who have been to past Pumpkin Run events will remember him as the "T-Shirt Guy" his name was Tony AKA...Mr. Clean and a good friend to many. Were going to miss you man.

Long weekend working on the trails for the 45th Annual Pumpkin Run......and Man is it WET, and more rain on the way. If it don't quit raining soon, it's going to be another super wet and muddy event.

The good news is that our parking lot pasture is draining off well and is surprisingly high and dry.

I'll get some pictures to post when I go up this coming weekend...forgot the camera at home this time.

First day of October......Only 22 days left till the start of the 45th Annual Pumpkin Run.

Friday the 23rd.....come on in starting at 4:00pm and setup camp for the weekend, the band... Rough Edges... will be crankin up around dark. Sorry no trail rides Friday night, but plenty to do playin in the mud pits and water wheelie pit.

Saturday the 24th....The day trail will open at 8:00am, Quader Todder challenge, Water Wheelie Contest and then the $1,000 Poker Run for the first 100 participants to sign up and buy a $10 poker card. (details on times will be posted at the T-shirt pavilion)

Saturday Night......MAIN EVENT, night trail opens at dark-thirty. ......ALL NIGHT RIDIN PARTY......

Sunday.....pack it all up and be cleared out by noon-ish.

20 days left till the Pumpkin Run....who's ready?

Only two weeks left till the 45th Annual Pumpkin Run......

So, Far these are our on site vendors:

And we got a maybe from the Peanut Lady.

The property is looking really good with plenty of wet muddy trails and the parking lot is drying up nicely.

Remember, we are only allowing participants to come in to set up camp starting at 4pm Friday....any earlier and you will be waiting at a locked gate...but come in, get your camp setup, ride around the parking lot, get muddy in the Mud Pit and enjoy the live band (Rough Edges) Friday night....there will be NO trail rides Friday Night.

Contained fires are ok, but we will not allow pallets on the property, this is a working cattle ranch so the nails left behind from burnt pallets are a deal breaker.

Also, only the first 100 people to buy a $10 poker card will be allowed to ride the porker run trail and a chance to win $1,000 in cash.

This is advertised as a three day event, but for people who actually like to ride atvs, it is a one day and one night event cause you have to be gone by noon on Sunday.

How about next year letting people in at 7AM Friday and closing at dark on Sunday night. That would be a real three day event provided that you have trails opened on all three days.

For the last 44 years, the Pumpkin Run has been a 1 night event, we started allowing people to come in and set up camp on Friday afternoon about 8 years ago to relieve the congestion on SR415 on the actual day of the event.

All of our members volunteer their time to host this event and have jobs Monday through Friday. We get to the property as soon as we can after work on Friday and have to have all the trash and debris removed from the field in time to get back home and ready to go back to work on Monday. So, the 7am Friday and dark on Sunday just won't work. That's what those "other" mud parks are for, we are NOT a mud park, we hold a very unique event once a year and have roughly a thousand people who can't wait to do it again next year.

What we have done, is added several Saturday daytime activities to keep our participants entertained, like a Saturday daytime trail, the Quad-R-Totter Challenge, the Water Wheelie Contest, the Poker Run and our awesome raffle. Where else can you get all that and a free T-shirt for 35 bucks?

The Pumpkin Run is... and always will be a one night event, an arrowed ~20 mile trail that you can ride as many times as you like, as long as your packed up and gone by noon on Sunday.

That is why we advertise 3 days.

6 days left!!! Got my lights ready to run the night trails at Pumpkin Run!

Getting ready for Pumpkin Run! It's almost here  ;D

What a great weekend. Got out there early Friday and left on Sunday.
Rode day trails, poker run and the "Pumpkin Run". Had a blast!

One of my biggest complaints with the Pumpkin Run is that if you get there before 4 PM on Friday, that you will find a locked gate and you would have to wait until 4 PM to get thru the gate. Apparently this is not true if you " Got out there early Friday ". Don't mean to complain but I think there should be one set of rules for everybody.

My wife and I also enjoyed the day trail and the night run.

I guess I should have been clearer in my post.
Early is a relative term, Normally I work until 6:00.
I arrived at 4:30 and did not have to wait too long in line.
Some people were in line first thing in the morning and the gates did not open until 4:00 as stated.
SO.......still will find a locked gate before 4:00 and One set of rules.
Sorry for the confusion.
 ;)

Thanks for clearing that up TRIPOLAR. There were folks at our front gate at 7:00am Friday morning, they sat out there till 3:40 when the member with the wristbands finally showed up. I then went out there myself and opened the gate.

I hope everyone had a good time and I look forward to next year,......and maybe the possibility of a run between now and then.....maybe bring back the Lucky Rabbit Run, maybe a poker run only event????
