If your idle is to high it will try to keep your sheave engaged, try turning your idle screw out a little.Title: Re: unable to move shifter Post by: MedicMudder on March 21, 2014, 09:50:07 PM clean the clutch ?????
Title: Re: unable to move shifter Post by: SMP63 on March 22, 2014, 04:39:14 AM clean the clutch ????? To clean the clutches remove the foot well, then the clutch cover & blow them out with compressed air. The drive (primary) & driven (secondary). Be ready for alot of dust to come out of them. To remove foot well you'll need a torx head & 11mm wrench or deep well socket, a pair of wire dykes to remove the plastic rivits. Be carefull not to cut the head off the plastic pins that go in them. To remove the cover you will need a 10 mm socket & about a 10" ext. & a flat head screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp. After blowing out the primary push in on it & make sure the 3 fly weights move freely then put it back together. Some put a bead of silicone on the cover seal to keep the water out. Be sure not to over tighten the screws when you put the cover back on, they will sink tooo far into the plastic cover & be a pain in the ass next time you take the cover back off. Hope this helps!!
