You owe it to yourself to try exploring Ocala  The Centennial trail is great. aprox 45 miles.   I know there are more trails on the northern section. I like parking at the trailhead on 316  just west of forest road 88.  There is also a trailhead off of US 19 north of 316 on the left. There is always maps and permits at the trailheads. aprox. 100 miles of trails.
You could stop by the welcome station on hwy 40 just east of Silver Springs to get more info.  or try www.fs.usda.gov/ocala (http://www.fs.usda.gov/ocala)
I would bring lots of water it's going to be HOT!   I'll be headed up there as soon as it cools off.
