Post by: Chevy1500z71 on October 20, 2011, 03:43:35 PM
Anybody been out to 5A recently. We were going to go camping this weekend but I'm afraid its too wet to get my truck out there, what are the main trails looking like?

No one can afford the gas or parts to fix their wheels this economy sucks. I use to ride three times a month but have cut it down to one time a month and two weekend camp outs per year. :'(

I went out on Friday and it wasn't too crazy. Pretty wet and a few deep spots (I went in a truck) but you can navigate around on the main trails. I didn't got past the turn over the canal though, so not sure how things looked past that.

Thanks for the update. Its about a 2 hour ride to get there so not too worried about bothering the hunters. Probably won't get there til about 11am by the time we stop & eat, gas up.
