Title: Snorkeling issue
Post by: arctic15 on March 21, 2011, 06:21:15 PM
I just finished installing a snorkel on my 2007 AC 400... I was wondering is there any special way i need to seal my airbox or is it fine just the way its sealed now?

It should b fine, as long as the snorkel coming from the filter is sealed good. The normal cover is ok, for extra protection you could always run a beed of silicone.

definately run a bead of clear silicone on it before you put the lid back on; i also know of some honda guys that double up the seal on their airbox, but definately seal it with something. Also, don't forget about your vent lines, and put dielectric grease on as many electrical connections as possible and squirt some inside your spark plug boot and snap it back on. Snorkeling is more than just popping on some pvc and heading into the water. Take the time and prep all f the small things and it will make for alot more fun when you're in the water. FYI.....
