there is a good mix of trails for all kinds of riding, dry, muddy, canals, swamp ,ponds, mud pitts, tracks.
Our first ride is March 4 at 4pm till march 6 at 6pm
Just take I-95 north and get off at state road 44,go west about 5 miles look for signs and banners.
Come early for door prizes friday and pick out your favorite place to camp.If for some reason you don't like to camp there is a Howard Johnson motel just a few miles away.Saturday morning there will be a treasure hunt(there will be shirts hats cups etc out on the trail, just pick it up and its yours.

Most of our group is on sport quads, usually 6-8. If I get the Deland crew to come, it may be closer to 30 quads... We love on way trails, and I like messing around on the tracks. Is there anytime before the event you guys will be out there before the event? I'd really like to come check it out, maybe take some pictures I can post for you guys. I'm literally 5 minutes down the road... ha.

I wouldn't mind swinging up there to check it out before the event, depending on time and day you will be there... PM me some info.

Strubby and I can meet up and head over there.

My husband grew up in DeLand and I grew up in Deltona.  we are happy to hear we have somewhere local to ride.  I have to say for the rules, the price is really expensive.  I completely understand that the rules are for safety AND insurance purposes, however, 35 is way crazy to not be able to ride at night, not be able to drink, and be quet after 10 pm.  Now, I don't know if you are going to strictly enforce the rules, but I think that it will end up being a problem.  Don't get me wrong, I will me out one of these days to check it out and I'm sure that it will be a great place.  Best of luck on your grand opening. ;D

I think that there are already plenty of drunkinmudfest out there. Some people go to riding parks to actually ride, and if you ride hard all day then you sleep at night.  It would be nice to be able to have a few beers at the end of the day in camp though.

Post by: birddog76 on February 24, 2011, 11:03:15 PM
would be great place to ride with daughter , but dont think would enjoy with friends ,  got to wear helmets , no night riding , no cold brews, little to many rules  ,pretty costly.  Sure their are plenty people will enjoy good luck on grand opening.

Title: Re: Omega Ranch ATV Park
Post by: Baileygunns on February 25, 2011, 08:57:00 AM
I'm going to guess the 2 complaining about price and beer have never actually been to an ATV park... Look up Durhamtown and see what their prices are... And worth every penny!

I know other parks do not allow alcohol on the trails and tracks for obvious reasons... They do however allow it at the cabins and camp sites. I will agree a couple beers at the end of a hard day of riding in is nice.

Will alcohol be allowed in the camping area?

Title: Re: Omega Ranch ATV Park
Post by: BamaGirl on February 25, 2011, 09:21:49 AM
I don't think that I was complaining about not being able to drink, but whatever you want to call it is fine.  :-*  I am a pretty experienced atv'er and have been to plenty of parks.  Southern Ridge in Bama, Creek Bottom in Georgia, Mud Muckers in Bunnell...just to name a few.  They all are super awesome places to ride and I'm sure this place will be cool too.  I was just comparing the park size, rules, etc. to the prices.

Been to plenty of parks and ride with alot of people who enjoy to stop for a cold beverage.Never have any problems all depends on the people. most of time  people racing around on sport quads on bilnd trails or 2 way trails when it gets dangerous ans somegets hurt.

I don't think any park will openly advertise "hey come get drunk and ride around with no helmet all night!"
No state parks or campgrounds officially "allow" alcohol, that's why they make plastic cups isn't it?  ;)

It was fun, and it'll just get better and better as they add to it. They're interested in offering things for BOTH utility and sport, so post up suggestions or comments on their site or Facebook. The one way trails were great, got some air and turned my green Kawi BLACK   ;D  And no one was out to 'ruin any fun' if you know what I mean. Very cool people.

We had a fantastic time at Omega today, just our type of riding. Some nice twisty woods trails, and plenty of water and mud. We had 2wd sport/trail quads and made it through most of the mud holes with some finese, there were a couple too much for us that would be a thrill for a 4x4 or sideby. Woods are beautiful smelling pines. Lots of interesting scenery. This is not a dry/fast park, it is trail/wet. The pics posted by Juanky depict it quite well but there are more woodsy trails not shown. We will definitely be back!

Rode the trails last month. Just wanted to let fellow dirtbikers  know that this park is primarily for 4 wheelers. Lots of muddy trails. Very small park. Maybe 12 miles of trails. Signs for the one way trails were not displayed very well. Not worth the $20 fee to ride for an hour to see all the trails.
