Title: 9th Annual Lucky Rabbit Run Post by: AMC on February 03, 2011, 04:50:17 PM Alright Guys and Gals,
Apollo Motorcycle Club is gearing up for the 9th annual Lucky Rabbit Run in Samsula Florida. The date of the event has been set for the weekend of the April 1st -3rd. On-line registration ONLY at http://www.apollomotorcycleclub.com/ (http://www.apollomotorcycleclub.com/) beginning March 1st till March 31st. The cost will be $25 for registration (per person) and $5 gate fee (per vehicle) You must print your on-line confirmation and bring it with you to enter the property. Gates will open Friday the 1st at 4:00pm for camping and field/pit riding only (no trails will be open Friday night) Trails will open Saturday morning the 2nd at 7:00am and will remain open until Sunday morning at 10am. The woman who has handled registration for the last 10 years is leaving us and moving to Tennessee, and Mr Jim is taking her place, so for any registration questions please call him @ 321-917-6845. I will be updating this thread with an event flyer and lots of photos as we get closer to the date, so check back often and spread the word. I will also be doing some contests right up till the end of registration to win free passes to the event. Yeah Aaron, going to try to put together an actual agenda of things to do and when we will be doing them. Like, the water wheelie competition, the poker run, obstacle course/tire drag, and hopefully we will be able to get the Quad-R-Toter set up again. (must be outside, actually moving, and the bunny must be visable in the photo) It can be a stuffed rabbit, toy rabbit, a carboard cut-out of a rabbit, it just has to be a rabbit....... By the way, the date has changed for the event, it got moved up a week to the 1st through the 3rd. Since you two guys seem to be the only ones interested in going I might as well tell you. I've been to several, but not in the past few years, been out of the scene. Count me in for this one, and that free pass would be mine if I wasn't down in Ft Lauderdale working. Damn!

The good thing is....there are several spots on the property that ALWAYS hold good water (MUD). A good 1/2" of rain just before the event would be perfect. The first 2 miles of the run were rough but after that, it was really fun. The wooded pine tree area with all the water was a bit spooky with just two quads riding through! I was expecting a blair witch moment and I think someone messed with the signs near the end. Went in a loop twice and then ended up bailing.
