Title: Places to ride in polk county?
Post by: 08Honda400EX on October 21, 2010, 01:12:09 AM
I just bought a brand new 2008 Honda 400EX and I've been searching for places to ride in polk county.  I already know about the Lakeland Motorsports Park Mudhole, Triple Canopy Ranch, and Dirty Foot Mud Ranch.  The one thing about all these places is that they are only open on weekends.  Croom's is open 365 days a year but it's at least a hour and a half drive from my home in Lake Wales.  Most of my days off are during the week, and on my weekend's off my girlfriend prefers I spend them my time with her.  Now I've heard of a place in lakeland off North 98 called "Rancho" and another spot in SouthWest Lake Wales called the "Lake Wales Mud Hole".  I haven't been to either but I question the legality of riding there, as they are not managed riding areas.  Anyone have any suggestions of where to ride during the week without trespassing?  For right now I'm stuck with just riding in my Grandmother's empty pasture.

Also as a side note, I was told that Bubba's Mud Ranch in Auburndale is closed and being turned into a ATV only area, any one have any info on this?  And did Sand Mountain close down in Fort Meade?
