The Feature Weekend mx race is shaping up to be a great race, we have a number of good riders committed to coming, some pro's too. I will put up more on that in a later post.

Anywho, I am going to have the track rebuilt next week by Blue Rock construction...to ensure it is awesome condition.

This means that I am going to have it closed on the Friday 3rd sept, that way we all get to race on a professionally prepped track Saturday morning.

Obviously, after the race, it's game on...and you can ride the track all the way through Monday.

I will make sure the intermediate track and the other tracks are in good condition and open Friday.
 

Oh BTW, I am going to try and have them put the drag strip back in the freestyle area too, if so I will put the lights back up and have them on auto all weekend.

I am sure you will have the usual full time EMT's on site. Is the swimming hole still full? With the drag strip and lights people who think their quad is fast can race. The Plex now has 3 groomed MX tracks and miles of wet and dry trails. The Plex has excellent 1 way trails. The plex has free camping, The plex allows night riding. The plex has a Kids TT track. The plex has a Kids obstacle course. The plex has a free style ramp. The plex has hot showers.

Maybe I should have made each one of those its own topic.  :-\

That sounds sweet Paul, btw, is the MX race going to be in the same track you had the series? Trying to make everthing ready for that weekend to be there, could hardly wait!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Yes it is, even though anyone can just race on that weekend and a win is a win, they get the trophy etc for the win, the points count (actually double points count) in the series some of you are running.

Now are they changing anything with the track?

Nothing major, I might get them to add in the ant hill section again, but bank a few corners and re-angle the table that would come after the ant hill. That would put our track back to a ~2 min lap.  Mainly rebuilt the jump faces and landing etc. The track seems to be getting narrower  :o

Cool! Let it get narrower and get to 20 minute laps then ya got a Harescramble course!  ;D

LOL, it was starting to look like one...this rain this year has been good for the vegetation, nearly all the track infield, and most of the main parking area is now covered in grass.

A year ago grass is what you wanted.  See you wish has come tru.  lol

Your right there dawg...I am not complaining ("for once" everyone collectively sighs), grass looks cool.

I stirred up the guys at Walsh today, we got Jeremy Lawson coming out fo' sure, Mike Walsh is coming out of retirement to show his young rider what's what, Bard is racing again and Thomas "Hybrid" Tantillo is gunning for Downtown Chris Brown....should be an awesome set of races.

He'll come out of retirement if i show up for the race......hell double points may mean i could make the top 20 lolol

At least i havent had to rebuild it 7 times in the past year. oh and it never over heated. the outer waterpump seal just was worn.

I will be on MED patrol full time this weekend & also be helping Paul with the events

Entrance Gate Open;

9am-8pm Friday (going to be later than this..please e-mail me plexmx@gmail.com)
9am-6pm Saturday.
9am-5pm Sunday.
9am-1pm Monday.



Friday - Open Trail Riding all day and night.

The intermediate and small MX tracks will be open from 9am-6pm
Big track is closed on Friday.
Trails are open all day and all night.



Saturday - Open riding all day and night

All MX tracks will be open from 9am-6pm (Main MX track will be closed while events are held on it).
Trails are open all day and all night.

9am-10am MX practice
10.30am-2pm MX Races (Adults and Kids)
2pm-3pm Sand Drag Races (Adults and Kids)
3pm-4pm Barrel Race & Longest Wheelie (Adults and Kids)
4pm-5pm Mud Racing
5pm-7pm BBQ ($4.00 per person)
7pm-9.30pm $250 (cash & prizes) Poker Run ($5.00 per hand)

10pm-Whenever ~ Epic Night Rides



Sunday - Open Trail Riding all day and night.

All MX tracks will be open from 9am-6pm
Trails are open all day and all night.

9.30-11.30 XC Race


Monday - Open Trail Riding all day and night.

All MX tracks will be open from 9am-4pm
Trails are open until 5pm.

No Paul, I will not be racing during the event.

Hey Jim...looking forward to seeing you guys again...there is sooooooo much water there right now, you are going to have a blast. Hopefully Dixie & Mark come over too, even if it's just for the sat night ride.  ;D
