Title: Re: Dade City Rd.6 100cc minis Post by: 01ZX12R on April 11, 2010, 03:35:48 PM There was some great racing going on last night. It was amazing watching the minis hit the double after the finish line jump.
Great job to Kyle also bringing home second even after loosing the complete silencer off the quad. I believe Kyle could have givin Devin a run for the win if Lyndon was not there holding him back.. >>I believe Kyle could have givin Devin a run... Kyle running with Devin... ummmm, well it's good to dream! And dream BIG too. I don't have second moto times but Devin's quickest lap of 55.382 VS. Kyles 56.854 in the first moto seems to show currently no one has anything for Devin come race time! Except... TRX#9, who did have some game in qualifying, as he was the fastest qualiFLYER W/A 55.403! Nicsheeeeeeee job Erik :) But his speed simply didn't carry over to the racing. We'll see in about 4 weeks if anyone can mount a challenge for that darn #7 suzook! Did he double every time after that or did it scare him? Yes he did, all 5 laps in both motos. The boy scared me to death and made me proud in a split second. ;)Seth Brown was hitting it on an Apex 70. I took a pic and showed Colby and he knew it could be done. He went out on first lap of first race and hit it. The competition waited until lap 3. But he did it too. I asked if he was scared, he said he closed his eyes at the bottom of the jump and didnt open them until he was in the air. (I advised against that in the future) After that it was game on and he hit it every lap in all motos. Last lap in first moto, after checkered flag, he did a "bootlegger" over it, I call it a no footer, but the announcer called it a bootlegger. ??? And I will be the one to mount the challenge...... 8) Title: Re: Dade City Rd.6 100cc minis Post by: 01ZX12R on April 13, 2010, 09:45:26 PM "Kyle running with Devin... ummmm, well it's good to dream! Thats not a very big dream there maybe just one from an afternoon powernap. Have you looked at the points lately? It's not like Devin is walking away with the series or anything. Devin, Kyle and Lyndon are close in points. I'm not bashing on Devin or anything because he is a great rider as the is the rest of the class. Yes Devin may have put in good lap times this week, but its not like they are out of reach from anyone else in the class. Go back to race 5 when Erik was on his a game and brought home the win. He did a great job that night and I am sure he would have been right in the mix up front if he had not been lifting all that tile the day before. We'll see in about 4 weeks if anyone can mount a challenge for that darn #7 suzook! Here is my two cents... For starters Devin is a great rider and racer. One of the most enjoyable ones to watch. Same goes to Mark Madl. By me saying anything below, it does not mean I'm trying to take anything away from either riders... Qualifying. For those that were watching, in my opinion Mark Madl looked to be the quickest. I was so impressed with him, and amazed with how it appeared he was pulling Devin in their qualifier. -Nothing against you Erik, but I missed yours. But Congratulations!- Now when that time sheet came out, I'd be damned if Erik pulled the quickest. But to my biggest surprise, Mark Madl was 4th fastest! I couldn't believe my eyes! I just knew sitting there watching that Madl would've pulled the fastest. But I was wrong! Racing. I've always been taught it's a lot harder to win from the rear then it is to lose from the front. Anybody out there knows a holeshot makes your life a lot easier. So knowing this, looking at where certain riders started off in both motos, I'd like to say quickest in qualifying means nothing. What matters is how fast you can move through the pack and those that can stand their ground when others are on the hunt. And lets not forget the first few races when Kyle McCulloch fought off Devin Heimes. Not once, not twice, but three times that I can think of. Now let me state, I am not bashing anybody. I'm just stating the facts and my opinion about racing. Title: Re: Dade City Rd.6 100cc minis Post by: greenmachine on April 14, 2010, 06:28:15 AM How 'bout them mini quads ;)
Them kids are worth the price of admission and they dont get any love in the race video or the DCMX radio show. There was 21 riders in just the 100class :o Come on DCMX show these kids some love.... ;) Title: Re: Dade City Rd.6 100cc minis Post by: 01ZX12R on April 14, 2010, 06:52:48 AM Hey Green,

Title: Re: Dade City Rd.6 100cc minis Post by: Ride1Rob on April 14, 2010, 11:04:30 AM That mini race was the most exciting to watch to me ;) . I always wondered why they never had vid on any of the other classes but I also understand Sponsor cup is the premier class. As far as who's the rider to watch in that class. EVERY race that I've been to it's been Devin vs Williams, Devin vs Emanuelson, Devin vs Madl, Devin vs Thacker, Devin vs McCullough, etc... It's not hard to tell who the rider to beat is.
