The clutch just arrived for my banshee, so I will have it ready for this race. I will get one more race in before all the chaos starts with my new business venture >:D  I also got my 450 running, ended up being a bad spark plug :banghead.gif But I went ahead and converted it back over to trail riding, I almost forgot how much fun it is with the knobbies back on and ripping through the trees :oo But also on that note, I forgot I have wider a-arms and axle now...oops  See ya on the 24th

Is Dave the guy that owns the floral arrangement shop in Dade City? I think I remember him from way back in the old racing days, do you guys think he still knows how to ride a quad? I am worried he may have forgotten because it has been so long, he may have to ride in the Amateur class until he proves to us he can still ride......

If my memory serves me correctly his last race was on a 2 stroke Honda that I had to use my sisters YFZ to pull start him at t-bowl sometime last summer or maybe even spring of 2009, that is a long time, he may not even be a skinny guy anymore???

S.M.

Well I guess I will not be racing on the 24th. I got the banshee completely stripped to a bare frame. Painting the frame, swing arm and a-arms to get it ready to sale. Time to clean the garage out to make room for new race toys  :wink.gif  Anyone want to buy a flat track ready Banshee?  :ThumbsUp.gif  Hope everyone has a fun and safe night of racing, see yall when I see yall

Why don't you bring your 450 out to race? Your needed with everyone else to have a good turnout.

I got it running( bad spark plug) but I already converted it back to trail riding so I can ride it around my property and at croom with my family, tired of seeing it sitting in my garage. Plus I am thinking of getting my son into go kart racing (champ kart) and plan on taking him to watch them race at Dirt Devils this Saturday. That is why I am selling my banshee, so I can set him up in a nice champ kart and then maybe get myself an open kart to race also.
I do have plans on building my trx250r up for FT. I just got it and currently it is only a rolling chassis (a really nice rolling chassis) I made a deal to get the motor also (270 for now). I should have it up and going in a few months, it depends on how envolved I get with the go kart racing. I guess we'll see :wink.gif either way, it is too nice to sell even though I turned down a really good offer for it yesterday. I think I need a bigger garage :Wacko.gif and a better job

Derek said you were interested in starting up a Vet class, I'm 35 and if this year goes as planned for Derek (2010 Open Class Championship), I'll probably mess around some in the vet class next year. I hope you get that 250R running, It is good to still see a few racing.

How was the turn out? I heard that the track hooked up nice. I took my family to Dirt Devils Saturday to scout out go-kart racing, I must admit that it was nowhere near as exciting as flat track but still was fun. I will diffently not be selling all my flat track stuff, just the banshee.

turnout was ok. track was ok. typical thunderbowl, hookin one heat and slick the next. always been that way since i can remember. thats what makes that track sooo challanging! btw go cart racing is for people that dont mind going slow. :-*  my bike had some overheating issues in practice. i limped it through the first heat and put it on the trailor before i tore it up. got a bigger radiator coming for it. so i was stuck riding scott's bike " ol' reliable". bike ran like a champ as usual. i took the win in the main but not by a long shot. dave on the banshee was close behind the whole race but couldnt make a pass on the ol' honda. great day of racing and thanks to the SDTA peeps for putting on yet another great show.

jasper is where the REAL racing goes down and the fastest quad lap times are turned. cant wait to put the smackdown on dave ware on the big banshee. see everyone there. b:r

It was good to see Dave back out on his Banshee again. The main event was great to watch, Dave was right there for every lap, but barely, and I mean barely the little 330R kept him at bay. The track never really hooked all that well in any heat or the main(at least not for us), but that is what makes that track sooo challenging to set up for. I think actually that is the one thing I like best about it. You really don't know how it will turn out.

Scott what are you looking to get out of that Banshee?
