Title: March Feature Weekend..Schedule...Park Conditions...Prizes
Post by: Paul_S on March 03, 2010, 10:40:55 PM
Quick summary of this upcoming weekend.

Gates open 9am Friday.

Prices for this event are $20 per day or $30 for the weekend. Sundays MX race and Saturdays Poker run entries are extra.

On Friday the MX tracks and the kids areas (TT and obstacle course) are open from 9am until 6pm. The trails are open from 9am and stay open all night.

On Saturday the tracks (open practice) are also open until 6pm, the trails are open all night. Look for some epic night riding on Saturday. The dry trail poker run starts at 1pm. The swamp poker run starts at 3pm and goes on until 5pm.

Entry to the poker run is an additional $10 per hand...100% of the money collected goes to an injured friend of ours...Mike Greene.

There are some great prizes..passes, shirts, atv goodies (thanks to Matt and the planks), oil changes (from Mr Norris) & we have just been given 2 x $50 Walmart cards too (Thanks to the Coops for this).

About 6pm, all interested can gather under the mx tower for the announcement of the winners and a pot luck BBQ.

Sunday morning is the Outlaw MX series on the main track...no membership is required, it's a great opportunity to try your hand at an mx race in a small new local series.

OK on to the park conditions.

Well all I can say is wet wet wet, if you own a 4x4 bike and enjoy mud and water and some natural swamp riding...please do not miss this opportunity, our swamps are filled to the max.

For our dirt bikes and sport bikes, we still have lots of dry, fun trails. You are not going to see the motoplex at it's best (well the 4x4's might argue there lol) but you will still have a fun time.

The tracks are in awesome shape.

The dry trails are in a good rideable condition. We have a mostly dry trail to take you down to them, but there is a 20'~30' section of the trail that still has about 4"~5" deep water on it. I had it somewhat dried out, but the rain on Tuesday knocked out our temporary dam so we still have this one pesky section. We are going to try and build a bridge, so you don't even have to get your tires wet at all...but if tomorrow is anything like today (a 6 hour epic which involved a stuck tractor attached to a 20' equipment trailer hauling a skid steer to fix the wet spot and Matt and myself spending 4 of the 6 hours..thigh deep in cold swamp...well you get the picture) I don't make any promises lol.

Hope to see you there.
