Title: Re: 6 hour motoplex race pics 1-30-10 Post by: bseckel on January 31, 2010, 04:19:06 PM Sean ??? MR. I will show Borich whats up?? He didn't even finish 1 lap. Although, I would have done the same. It is not worth messing up bearings or your motor this close to the GNCC's. Hell i didnt even race because of the conditions.

Title: Re: 6 hour motoplex race pics 1-30-10 Post by: Paul_S on January 31, 2010, 05:58:25 PM How many teams entered, how many finished? 17 teams entered, most of them finished. It's hard to tell, because a couple of teams got pretty far ahead and just kept a dry eye on how many laps ahead of the competition they were. I think that we had 3 teams pull out after 2 laps and everyone else pretty much kept on going for all/much of the 6 hours. We had a few pro's there (Borich, Bithell, Rowlings), but I think they were too comfortable in their big hauler...can't say that I blame them ;) The rain was awful. Weather.com had forecast 1/2" of rain, according to our neighbors rain gauge, we actually had an 1" and a 1/4 in the 4-5 hours just prior to the race. We had rerouted the course, through the already rain soaked property based on a worse case 1/2" basis, so an 1-1/4" falling all the way up to the start time...well it made for a challenging course. Thanks to all that showed and all that braved it. ;D Title: Re: 6 hour motoplex race pics 1-30-10 Post by: DALEQUAD on January 31, 2010, 07:44:26 PM mud is a good equilizer
Title: Re: 6 hour motoplex race pics 1-30-10 Post by: dirtslinger on January 31, 2010, 08:04:35 PM it was a great time. I got some sh*t stuck in a jet and that was th causing of me to be towed out of the woods on my (i believe) 6th lap. I need to replace some bearings, and chain and sprockets. It was definitely an endurance race.Hey paul, could you post up lap times or a picture of the print out sheet?

Hell its dirty just from putting around taking pics. I was glad i ironman'd that pregnant dog. It was definitely an experience. I needed a jetski instead of the quad.Title: Re: 6 hour motoplex race pics 1-30-10 Post by: Shawn on February 02, 2010, 08:49:13 PM Sean ??? MR. I will show Borich whats up?? Where ya at Shawn? :oMy pockets are not as deep as theirs and in case you didnt read the above............they didnt race this time, Hmmmmmm, wonder why? I made a calculated decission to not destroy my quad on a meaningless race with the GNCC right around the corner. I have already made a commitment to a fellow rider to help with the exspenses to 4 of the GNCC races and if i had to replace all my bearings again i would not have been able to do so. Where were you? Title: Re: 6 hour motoplex race pics 1-30-10 Post by: bseckel on February 02, 2010, 08:53:41 PM and I made that same decision!!! so dont worry shawn. I will not give you crap about it.

I was at home reviewing all the smack ya were talkin about the race in the comfort of my dry house. I never said one word about what I "will" or what I am gonna do. I don't make a habit of talkin a bunch of krapp about any race cause it can always come back and haunt ya and make ya look kinda silly in my opinion. ;D ;) Seriously though, I just got my quad back from shop like a day before the race. I am sorry that ya feel like that race was so "meaningless", I'm sure that makes Paul feel pretty good???? Would it have been considered so "meaningless" had you won the race? :-\ |
