K&N Air filter, after market exhaust....one or both will most likely require a carb jet kit....That would be a good start.

Ok, Thanks, Well i was also thinking about a .40 over kit from high lifter but do you think thats more work than i want to mess with? The jet kit, will it make a reasonable difference?

Even if the filter jet kit and exhaust doesn't provide a noticable difference in power, with the exhaust at least you'll think you have more power. lol

Just keep in mind, anytime you do engine work, you take away from the reliability of the quad. Not saying it's going to break down any sooner, just the possiblity of it is greater

you may also want to look at "lighter" tires if that has been one of the mods. Alot of people don't realize that weight is one of the biggest contributors to loss of power. Heavy tires = more rotating weight = feels like a loss of power!

I would not suggest doing motor work as it does lessen the reliability of the engine. The best way to improve power greatly is to purchase a bigger 4 wheeler. ;)

I agree with Dixie. And, if you buy a new ATV, get EFI and don't get a Honda under 500cc. Honda's too over-priced to still be selling those cheesy drum brakes. You don't realize how ineffective and problematic they really are until you ride disc brakes.

Ok, Thanks, I was actually going to but a artic cat 700 EFI side by side soon. What do you think, I have test rode all the manufactures and this one seems the best for the money.
