first it was girl/pop country, now its all starting to sound like jazz, and now this? what has happened to country music, its sad really. if i go to the rock channel, i here rock, if i go to the country channel, who knows what im going to here anymore.

You are so right. Mark and I listen to classic county. But, try to get people to come pay to see George Jones at a mud hole. This is what Country has turned into!

i like classic country too, but thats not what im talking about. theres still new country from george strait and Alan jackson thats good stuff, im not saying it all has to be like classic country, but it should keep at least some tradition.

first of all, if you want to defend your point, maybe you should make your posts a little more readable, no offense, but its just hard to take a post like that seriously.

second, rock music has changed a million times, it all still holds true to its tradition, and there are different channels for different genres of rock. country has one station and way to much variation for one channel imo.

and 3rd, change is fine, country has changed before and it was still good, but this is a change for the worse, country that sounds like rap is not a good change, its idiotic and tasteless. its all just about money, country music used to be for a smaller fan base/ by making country like pop, the fan base becomes huge, the genre makes alot more money, and before you know it its lost all of its not about the music and its just about whatever will amke the money, taylor swift would be a prime example of this.

Figure it this way.  A weekend to go play in the mud.  If you do not like the music, ride or have a party at your camp area.  I am sure Patti has some other things in mind during the weekend to entertain as well.

Colt Ford is most definitely NOT the only entertainment for the weekend.
Fakahatchee will be there. Cole has an opening act as well. Lauren Briant. "more traditional country"! There are a lot of competition events we will be paying big money for and don't forget it is an ADULT EVENT!!
As far as David Allan Coe goes we have already had him at the park twice and the last show was not good at all. Better to listen to him on CD's and remember what he used to be. We have a lot of things planned for this year. Something for everyone!! As soon as this event we are hosting this weekend is over, I will post on our site everything that will be going on for this event!!

Colt Ford is awesome I listen to all types of music from classic rock, hip-hop, rock, old country original hank the highway men all of it.  If you can find the song called hunt the world by colt ford it's good.  Also he's got a song called mud diggers haven't been able to find a good quality sounding version yet but still a good song.  He's got a song with John Micheal Montgomery and Brantley Gilbert.  I'm sure he'll be good and if you don't like it don't listen to it.

I'm bummed out.  I have another commitment on Sun but was planning on driving up for the day's activities and to ride on Sat.  They don't offer a 1 day pass but offered to let us in Sat night just for the concert for $30.  My riding partners refuse to pay $40 for a 1 day ride and we wern't coming just to see Colt Ford.  Hope y'all have a great time.  It sure looks like it will be fun.....

I'm sorry, L-Cross does not offer one day passes for adult events. You are welcome to come on Family Mudfest's or any other weekend we do not have a race or Adult event going on. We offer 1 day passes every weekend of the year except for Adult events(6-times per year). Sunday's are offered for $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.
This event is not just your everyday adult event either. We still are offering ladies at 1/2 price who can get here before 5pm on Friday. Also starting this Saturday listen to your local radio stations. There are 6 clear channel stations as well as K country Ocala & Gainsville. Gator in Ft Myers, Kiss in Dade and Broward, Wave on the east coast, Wokc in Okeechobee and Roundup in Ft Lauderdale that will be giving away FREE pairs of tickets.
Good Luck to everyone!!
