Post by: DALEQUAD on December 08, 2009, 12:17:00 PM
is there a website that you can plug a vin # into to see if the vehicle has been reported stolen? a buddy wants to buy a quad but the seller has no paperwork, and he isnt going to buy a stolen quad

No paperwork, don't buy! Seller either still owes money to lender or does not legally own it. If he does legally own it and just lost paperwork, he'll first have to apply for a duplicate title before signing it over to you. Do not give him money until you get title. You will NOT be able to title it, as required by law, without the original title from legal owner. http://www.atvflorida.com/forum/index.php/topic,7512.0.html
