Title: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: Pat on June 22, 2005, 08:17:59 PM Planning on entering some of the new quad scramble races this season and would like to know some of the ins and outs of the day. For example...if my race doesn't start until 3:00...what time do I have to show up? How does the pit area work? Will I need to stop and fill up with gas during the race?
Thanks for all the help! Pat Title: Re: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: YFZ450-Tampa on June 22, 2005, 11:17:32 PM Hey Pat ! at this point I don't know how the quads series are going to be set.
In the regular series the sing up has been from 7:30 am to 10:00 am, the practice for quads has been from 9:30 to 10:00 or 10:30, and the race at 3:30. but this is at the regular HS season, at this with just 1 1/2 hours of race I never needed to refill my quad. Now all of this is because we shere the track with the dirt bikes At the new series, all this will be different, the race 2 hours, some of the quads will need a refill, some other with bigger tanks will be OK, but there is always a pit areas that you can get refill. Sing up and practice will change for sure, with many other classes, racing two days, we will have to wait untill they come out wit the schuddle. Just my 2 cents I just can't wait to go back to the races Title: Re: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: Mike Preslar on June 23, 2005, 08:50:26 AM Schedule for days activities for Quad Scrambles Series-

Title: Re: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: Pat on June 23, 2005, 10:16:20 AM Thanks Mike...
Will this new quad series replace the Hare Scrambles? Or will they be two separate series of races for quads? Pat Title: Re: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: Mike Preslar on June 23, 2005, 04:07:15 PM Both Series will be going this year with the intention of moving the Quads out of the existing one in the near future.
There just isn't enough room now to expand without the new series. Title: Re: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: Pat on June 23, 2005, 07:40:33 PM Looks like the first QS is on Sept. 3rd/4th...where exactly is Sweetwater. I'm originally from Miami and according to the FL map its down south but I've never heard of it.

And Pat, Sweetwater is not the place on south of Miami, this one is close by Arcadia more like Central Fl. when they get the flyer ready you will be able to see the directions. Title: Re: New Quad Scrambles Tips Post by: Mike Preslar on June 24, 2005, 06:48:00 AM Sweetwater is a cow and a couple of hogs.
It's located just north of Arcadia and just east of SR17. It's the same location as last years SADRA hare scrambles and can be accessed from the east through the backside of Highlands Hammock State Park. I've heard the landowner is allowing for some more land to be used this year. Should be a good course and SADRA runs a great event. Watch for an event flyer on the FTR web-site in early Aug. |
