Title: Labelle riding area Post by: zman03 on November 15, 2009, 07:01:13 PM Anyone been riding in the Labelle area where Lexington and 80 intersect? I was told the FWC will let you ride as long as you bring a garbage bag and clean around where you are parked. did anyone go this weekend?

Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: gbagnara on November 17, 2009, 12:55:42 PM I ride there all the time.......never had a problem.....a couple weeks i was camping and we had an FWC pass by and lecture us that we can ride there as long as we clean up our trash.....he also told us that to ride the trails and not to tear up the grass along the streets.....Just thought i would fill you guys in since that is one of the places i ride the most.....
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: zman03 on November 17, 2009, 05:09:30 PM Anyway for a group of us to start maybe marking the area and doing some improvements so we can better the place? Is there anyone local that can get involved? I would be willing to help!!!
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: bluesman on November 21, 2009, 02:42:48 PM Sorry to say with all the nuts street racing banshees with no helmets on this place will be closed real soon..... :'(
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: zman03 on November 23, 2009, 07:22:50 PM Maybe we can get these guys together? Maybe we could do something that this place would be a benefit and not a nuisance? Dude, where theres a problem, you can usually find a solution if you try and are persistent!
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: 450R_Matt on November 29, 2009, 10:30:39 PM Sorry to say with all the nuts street racing banshees with no helmets on this place will be closed real soon..... :'( That's exactly what was going on out there on Saturday. About a month ago also. Same moron.. Lets go get an atv (banshee to state a fact) and ride up and down the street. Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: Turboderf on November 30, 2009, 07:43:37 AM Maybe we can get these guys together? Maybe we could do something that this place would be a benefit and not a nuisance? Dude, where theres a problem, you can usually find a solution if you try and are persistent! good luck those guys that go out there are MORONS (theres alot of them) that place will get shut down one of these days its to bad because its kinda nice place to go ride Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: 450R_Matt on November 30, 2009, 04:46:52 PM I forgot to mention...The same morons fired off at lease 200 rounds from what sounded like an AR-15 and several hand guns. I'm sure they view this site. The had large truck with large enclosed trailers. All parked in the back "south side" Next time maybe I will have the local sherriff phone number on my cell.
Have a fun safe ride at your own risk if you go. Don't forget you BP Vest. Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: bluesman on November 30, 2009, 10:12:43 PM Matt Got an Idea lets shoot back!!!!
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: 450R_Matt on December 01, 2009, 10:51:20 AM Bluesman,
I just sighted in my 308 with a new Nikon scope last week ;) Good for 150 yards or so. For the dummies that shoot high power guns in the public with other people around... Cecil Webb has 4 nice gun ranges. $3 donation and you can shoot all day. Its a fun, safe place to shoot. Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: Mudneck on December 01, 2009, 10:15:33 PM What is the location of Cecil Webb ?

I got the coordinates for this place and when I Google Earthed it it looked like a Future neighborhood with the future streets already labeled.. Is this the right place?? I would hate to drive all the way there and it be the wrong place.. Also does anybody know about how long it will take to get there from Boynton Beach? I am one of the good riders and I clean up after myself :) Thanx Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: bluesman on December 02, 2009, 06:24:57 PM deezull I pmed you with my phone number

Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: 450R_Matt on December 07, 2009, 04:15:48 PM It's a developed piece of land with only one house on the entire development. According to Hendry County property appraiser's web side most is all private property. Private owned lots. Looks like a developer might have went belly up in the 80's after they sold a bunch of land. There are a lot of paved roads, street signs and water lines all through the place. Picture Cape Coral about 30 years ago. I believe the county or someone was mowing the right a way a few weeks ago. Trash and traffic is getting thick from the 2 times I have been there. Just a matter of time before its gone. All it will take is the one person riding on the road or crashes bad and has to be med flighted out.
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: djtates125 on December 30, 2009, 04:08:31 PM OK my mechanic told me about this spot in la belle to go riding but he said to make a right instead of a left some were near were all the sport bikes ride because I'm looking for trails and mud. I'm going up on Saturday with a few older friends..all respect the riding areas and was just wondering if any one can give me more location info and any info on the muddier sections.

Was rather empty but fun. Only down side is I didn't find any mud at all just 1 lake and a bunch of trails but it was still a great ride. There could be some mud somewhere in there but i have not found it yet.
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: pioneer mike on January 20, 2010, 08:59:15 PM We have been riding out there since 1997 and every once in while they (police) will run everyone out because of to much trash on the ground and racing at night with cars and trucks. There is some mud out there, but theres a place about 3 miles down the road if anybody with 4x4 ATVs wants to check out? I just found this website, wished I knew about it a while ago.

Thats where all the good riding for 4x4's is at. If you or anybody else is wanting to go out sometime just let me know we are always looking for other people to ride with. We have a good 800 plus acres to ride without getting any grief from anybody, its all private property.

Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: pioneer mike on January 24, 2010, 09:31:58 PM There looked like there was quite a few people going out there today. Just make sure you guys pick up your trash and it will stay open. Thats seems to be the main reason they kick people out of there and then time passes and people start coming again.
Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: pioneer mike on January 26, 2010, 10:25:58 PM Who wants to go mudding this weekend? We still have a lot of water too. Going to be a nice day on Sunday according to the weather man.

Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: RAPTOR-ANT on February 09, 2010, 02:40:52 PM LaBelle is a great area, and yes there are all sorts of people who go there. Some like racing, some like trails, and some like to just camp out and have a good time. It has been an effort of mine and some of the other riders that go there to train others in keeping the place neat, and clean. I have spoken to the FWC and the Sherrifs office down the street regarding ATV riding in the area. Here are the simple rules to follow (See Attached JPG and rules at bottom):
Even those individuals that go there and are ....well lets say....not so civilized are abiding by these rules. LaBelle is privately owned, with the exception of the Levys which are county owned. The FWC does not allow people to ride in the levys, so try and keep off them. If we all do our part, we will have a wonderful place to ride and enjoy... 1. BRING A TRASH BAG 2. YOU MUST PICK UP ALL YOUR TRASH 3. IF CAUGHT THROWING TRASH ON THE GROUND, YOU WILL BE FINED AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RETURN TO THE AREA 4. DO NOT RIDE ON THE LEVYS 5. DO NOT DO DONUTS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROADS, AND DO NOT THROW SAND/ROCKS ON THE ROADS 6. RIDE SAFELY AND BE AWARE OF OTHERS 7. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE ROAD AND TRAIL SIGNS, SLOW DOWN THROUGH THE INTERSECTIONS, DRIVE WITH AWARENESS! 8. TAKE SOME TIME AND PICK UP THE AREA PRIOR TO LEAVING. Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: asmart82 on February 09, 2010, 03:29:08 PM It's nice to see a riding area being respected. I hope it stays that way because actions speak so much louder than words!

Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: Anoriginal on February 09, 2010, 05:24:18 PM Did the FWC approve the use of their logo in that list? If not, you might want to get it off this site and the list ASAP. I don't want to see anyone get in hot water over it and I know the FWC takes that kind of thing really serious.
Just a heads up to help everyone avoid problems. ;) Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: Keeter on February 09, 2010, 09:27:32 PM Did the FWC approve the use of their logo in that list? Wow, that thing was a rocket!!!. I saw lots of places where people were doin bon fires and left all there garbage and made a mess. We parked on the corner of sicamoore just west of lexington over the bridge. I hope more people will go out and make some trails through the area, it could be a decent place to ride. I can see the place getting out of control with the litter and garbage. I hope people will haul out their garbage so this place does not become a dump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a suggestion PARK IN A CLEAN AREA AND KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: Johnny Rotten on March 27, 2010, 07:30:40 PM I just got back from riding in Labelle and it looks like we are going to have another place shut down. Cops showed up and caught two people drag racing down the main strip that runs north and south right in the middle of the property. I showed up later and talked to the cop as we were loading up and leaving, he brought up the problems with the trash being left behind, shooting of guns, and the riding on the roads. Another place to get shut down by people doing the wrong thing. We need to make sure we are responsible for not only ourselves but others too. Get the word out.
I don't know where the offenders are from but they where 4 families camping out one of the culdesac at the south in of the place. It was a banshee and a outlander racing. I wasn't able to see them again so if you know who they are please let them know. By the way the deputy loved the RZR... ;) Title: Re: Labelle riding area Post by: Johnny Rotten on March 27, 2010, 07:37:50 PM LaBelle is a great area, and yes there are all sorts of people who go there.
