Title: Does Anyone attend MMI?
Post by: KT#51 on September 29, 2009, 01:36:26 PM
Hello, I am a new member, and I'm moving to orlando in december to attend MMI. I am looking to meet someone who goes to school at MMI and rides quads.

I currently go there, but am on a three week leave after finishing Kawasaki.

I am currently rebuilding my YFZ450 and have plenty of places to ride around here. Any questions, I'll answer them to the best I can.

are there any cool places to ride right near orlando, like within 30 minutes? I ride xc, but i would not have a problem riding on a motocross track either. also which programs are you going to mmi for? I am doing honda yamaha kawasaki and suzuki. I am also wondering where you store your quad so noone robs it. I hear that quad theft is just ridiculous in florida, so that is making me pretty nervous. My quad isn't much to brag about, but it is better than no quad at all. I appreciate any knowledge you have.

I am taking Kawasaki (finished), Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha. There is one place that is about 45mins from Orlando I could take you one time so you know where its at. There is also Bithlo and Bartow. Bartow is about an hour away, and I hear it has an XC track.

Also, croom is on the west coast and is a huge place to ride, many GNCC and GNC pro's frequent there in off season.

I keep my quad and all my toys in my garage. It took me a year before I had been a victim of theft, and all they got was a GPS and an old cell phone. Most places charge like $100 for a single unit garage. My room mate had 4 motorcycles in his single unit, along with tools and a huge compressor.

Also, save up your money. I don't know how you party or anything, but if you're looking to get a degree in Beerology, you're going to the right school. If not, that's cool too. I stopped partying with the MMI crowd.

Let me know when you get into town and we'll hit up some riding area's.
