Title: rhino making a crazy noise
Post by: dannyboy on September 16, 2009, 04:29:19 PM
Rhino ran great all day fri and sat till sunday when I tried to load it on the trailer.  It would rev real high before it would hook up and start to move.  Brand new epi hd belt and sheeves look great but they dont move till the revs are way up so im thinking wet clutch.  I took it out in the street and ran it and it made some noises and then started to hook up again without the high rpm.  Now when I let off the gas and it slows down it makes some crazy almost jingling noise.  Im almost sure its in the wet clutch like something is rolling around in there.  Does anyone have experiance with the wet cluch or heard of this before.
Thanks for the help.

no experience here...but Im gonna guess a spring that broke or came loose in the clutch.
(the high rpm's could be a missing spring and the rpm's have to build before the other sheaves grab, and on the decelaration that missing/loose spring is just flopping around like jingle bells.)  again no exp.  just a guess.
