I'm thinking if (as it says on page 20 of that document) Polaris will be selling their 2010 Sportsman 800 EFIs w/ EPS for $7,499, they're sure to gain market share from competitors selling equivalents for thousands more. However, it will still all depend on your priorities. The new Polaris 850 will almost have the 71 horses the Outlander 800 has, but, it hasn't been tested against the Outy yet. So, the follwoing video may or may not make a difference to you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNh3pNfymjk
BTW, you can still pick up 2008 Outy 800s for around the above price and they come with 3-year warranty.

What they do not show you in the video is the Outy breaking a drive shaft on the next test and then the computer overheating.

I had 5500 hard miles on my Outy 400 before my rear U-Joint broke in BC that day and it's computer never broke. But, it's on life-support right now needing it's top end refreshed and will be donated to charity(brother-in-law) next week. YOU rode with me for more than half those miles, so you know the Outys ain't brittle! Although, your belt changes are quicker/easier, especially out in the field.

Nope, my new Outy's still in Tallahassee. I pick it up on 8th, install it's armor, break it in at the Plex on the 9th and we'll ride BC on 15th(bring your SCUBA gear).

That new 400 Ranger is gonna sell like hot cakes with it's 455 cc, lighter weight and smaller frame for $7,900 a lot of folks are gonna enter the UTV market.  It fits in the back of a truck.   ;D ;D

The new 800 cc Ranger already has people who bought a 700XP calling the dealers for a trade up.  Watch the prices really start droppling on used Ranger 700's when this 800 arrives.

Also watch for my used Outty, going on the block.
