I've had my 300ex since 2000. I have no complaints what-so-ever. I've beat it to hell and never knew how to do the maintence up until last year... and it has givin me absolutely no problems, hehe. If it can survive me, it can survive you :)

is it good with the jumps and stuf

It's not too bad, depending on your weight. The only issue with jumping is that the suspension can be a bit stiff... other then that, it airs out quite nicely, lol.

stiff i saw that bastard bottom out over a litle jump maybe the guy was fat lol well nobody over 200 pounds will ever ride it so we should be good right?

its a good bike. couple of my freinds have it and it does good in all type of riding.i personally perfer my warrior 350 much much more.

It's a good all around quad for younger or lighter riders. I had one but it bottomed out anytime I got over 4-5 feet. I do weigh 200+  though. If you're just begining or very light it is a great reliable low maintenance quad.

well its for my mom but once she gets sick of it it will be mine so like sence u weighed over 200 was it slow

It was my first quad, so it was ok for the first 6 months, but I used to ride street bikes and crave the adreneline brought on by speed.  It wasn't fast enough for me persoally, but it depends on your experience, skill, weight etc. I would suggest riding on before buying if you get the chance. It's a great all around quad, but not for intense riding unless seriously modded.

well i dont need it to go over 40 will it do that?

yes it will do over forty,it is a great bike it has some decent bottom end power my buddy has one he is about 220lbs and it does not grunt at all it has a 13 tooth sprocket front and a 37 in the back it is a little rough in the woopies(i ride a 86 250 r that is why it feels rough to me ) but it responds great enjoy,ronny

You can always retorfit 400EX front suspension to your 300EX. It makes a world of difference, and no more bottoming out. Also, the motor responds really well to mods. It is easy to make it run with 400's.

would i be better with a raptor 350

not sure i am a honda man just know the 300ex is a great bike for what it is

well i will think about it but yahma ha is good to well thats what i think i ride dirtbikes and really wana get in to the 4 wheeles

I have owned a 300 EX and have ridden my friend's 350 Raptor several times. In my opinion the 300ex is a much better quad and funner to ride. If these are the only quads you are considering I would say go with the 300ex. If your budget/parents or whatever sets the boundaries for your purchase will allow it I would say go with a 400. But like has been said you can upgrade the 300 suspension to the 400's and make mods for more power later if you want.
