Title: Help with Riding in New York State
Post by: Starbuc71 on July 14, 2009, 09:30:45 PM
Hi all,
I am planning a trip to NY in a few weeks to go riding with some from friends up in the Adirondacks mountians.  I just read that all ATV's ridden in NYS must have insurance (which is OK) and must be registered.  It also states that NY will honor registrations from other states but if your state does not require ATV's to be registered, then you have to register your ATV in NY.  My question is there anyway to register my quad in FL?  I hate to get there and find out my title, bill of sale, and title sticker on the quad will not suffice.  If there are any New Yokers on here or from NY let me know.

I think only someone from NY could answer that question. But I can guess. That little green sticker is considered "registered" in Florida. Wouldn't that be enough?

Where NYRAPTOR when you need him? He's one of our moderators.

i have gone that route and as long as you have copy of reg in hand and proof of insu it will work  .
