That's not racist...It hard for me tell when people are being sarcastic, serious, or joking sometimes but I guess it is just an opinion (whether the character was racist or not) nothing more. But there are plenty of people who think so. "Eastwood stars in “Gran Torino” as Walt Kowalski, a bitter, cranky, snarling old man, who is mean to his priest, vicious to his family, and racist to everyone in his increasingly ethnic neighborhood. Walt could be Clint’s iconic ‘Dirty Harry’ character a few years down the road from when we last saw him and a bit more racist. I was sitting next to like 5 black guys and they loved the movie. I love how people accuse this movie of being racist, but ignore 90% of rap music that is racist and offensive on purpose. |
