Title: Ignition Problem 2006 Rhino
Post by: GrizzlyBear on June 24, 2009, 09:50:19 AM
the other day, I started my rhino and it was fine, I moved it, shut it off, then later I tried to start it again, and NOTHING, and I mean nothing. no ignition lights, nothing on the dash and absolutely no power to anything.  I tested the battery, it is fine, I rested eash fuse, they are OK, checked the wiring, its fine.  HELP,  what could it be?

Check your grounding points on the frame. Also check the keyed ignition, sometimes they hit a dead spot. Aslo are there any saftey switches? If so check them by bypassing one at a time untill you find the bad one. Hope this helps. :)

I've checked the grounding points, they are ok.  What are safety switches, and what do they do?

Grizz, make sure that the rhino is in neutral, do you see the neutral light show up in the panel? Put your foot on the brake and try it again,That's a safety switch so that it wont start in gear..

OK. I have the problem isolated to the fuse box.  I have removed every fuse, one at a time and what I get is a buzzing in the box when I turn the ignition key.  It does not matter if a fuse is removed or not.  By the way, all fuses are good.  I got the email with the parts cataloge.  Thanks

Grizz, there's an ignition relay in there, that's what probably is causing the buzzing..I'm going to send you the service manual...
