It is all I can do on a good day to wrestle my heavy a$$ bike around on a short track.

Title: Re: SDTA Race at Ocala Speedway Post by: WJDTRI on April 12, 2009, 10:02:52 AM It was great to be racing again. Yesterday was ALOT of fun. Even though the track was not at its best. Donnie was playing around with his helmet cam......I got to watch myself fade into the distance when he had it turned around facing the back. Track got a little better and I felt a little faster as the day progressed. Was fun to race Gary too. I know he wanted to beat my 750 with his 250, which he did in heat 1....but not when it counted :). Was the most fun 5th or 6th finish I have had.

The track was not perfect, but the track is a car track and they do not have the equipment to get the surface really smooth. When I got there Saturday their grader blade had teeth. Really! Their clay is so hard a regular blade won't even cut it.
Thanks to everyone who came. We had a good turnout, decent weather, no bad accidents, and were done racing in 3hrs. Dave has the race results. I'm sure he will post them as soon as he gets time. |
