Title: 2007 Rancher stalls Post by: fastang on February 08, 2009, 08:22:05 PM A buddy has a 2007 Honda Rancher 420 that stalls out. It will run fine for awhile then start stalling out and won't stay running. After sitting for awhile it will run fine. We drained gas, and ran sea foam through it. Same thing.
Any suggestions? Title: Re: 2007 Rancher stalls Post by: AintSkeered on February 08, 2009, 08:51:09 PM When you say you drained the gas, did you drain the carb? Do it a few times. There's debris stuck in the carb's high needle jet.

Title: Re: 2007 Rancher stalls Post by: danfl on February 09, 2009, 11:38:40 AM Drain the Carb. I had a friend with the same atv and the same problem. Once we drained the carb a few times it worked just fine. Did you get it submerged in mud?

Also check and make sure the vents hose arent clogged. like i said worked for me. hope this helps

Title: Re: 2007 Rancher stalls Post by: bwfish on February 18, 2009, 09:16:39 PM sounds like tank not venting creating a vacuum
Title: Re: 2007 Rancher stalls Post by: fastang on February 22, 2009, 10:55:05 AM Fixed. We had taken the gas tank and throttle body off and cleaned it. We put fresh gas in it and it still was stalling. We ended up taking it to a repair shop and apparently there was tons of water in the fuel pump. He drained it and now it runs like a champ. Thanks for all your help.
