Title: CV joint repair place.
Post by: MedicMudder on February 05, 2009, 02:16:15 PM
Not sure if this is the right place, but the mods will let me know... I found a place in Jax Fla that repairs, rebuilds.CV joints. They can order them as well. They are a lotttttt cheaper than buying from the OEM,or secondary market. They are really kool, nice folks.    They are called
Drive Line Service of Jacksonville  200 North Lane Avenue Jax Fla 32254. (904) 783-4490.They don't have a web site yet. (kinda old school)
I do not work for,or have any thing to with the company,no relatives either. They have lots of u-joints to.

Thanks for the tip. But, a new u-joint for my ATV is $65 and the unit pack kit is another $50. The unit pack kit is that x-shaped part between the u-joint and axle). If you don't routinely grease them, the bearings in the unit pack kit dry up or wear out, freeze-up and stops turning the axle. When it does, it snaps the u-joint. Is it cheaper than that for us in SFL to order the parts and replace ourselves?
