That area of Alabama is very hilly and if you run into mud, you better have your game on; that Alabama clay will kick your ass! I'm pretty sure they won't be open during the spring due to turkey season. If I understand it correctly, Southern Ridge is a hunt lease and they only host rides during the off-season.

Here is their next event weekend Flyer which will include Camping for the whole weekend and many activities for the whole family to enjoy.

I'll be visiting it more often once my son starts FSU early this summer.

It's over 150 miles of trails with good signage and a fair amount of variety as far as Florida trails go.
What you would need: 1. All ATV's would need to be titled or registered. 2. Any riders under 16 would need to complete the ATV certification course (unless they are Out of State Residents). 3. Each rider needs to pay a $10/3-day permit (of course you would have to do that twice to get a weeks worth). Under 15 I think it's only $5/3-Days. Passengers/Non-Riders are free, but CANNOT be driving. 4. Familiarize yourself with all the rules. Rangers can and will give tickets that are $100-$175 per offense. They are not required to give you a warning for any infraction.
