Title: moving to florida Post by: FGO450r on January 19, 2009, 11:35:04 PM me and my wife are moving from oregon to florida, i have a trx450r and ride a lot of dirt trails and dunes. where are some good spots to ride in florida and am i gonna be dissapointed? i'm used to steep hill climbs, technical trails and some of the tallest dunes in the country.

The people are for the most part great, and the riding areas we have are sandy, dusty, muddy, and flat. But we still have a good time.

How are the people? Well, everything south of Palm Beach sucks. The schools, well, they suck too. The weather, it's ok if you like to sweat. I've been here 20 years now and every day I wish I never made the move. Just my opinion, but if you have any sort of brain at all, you'll probably agree once you spend some time here.

I moved here 11 years ago from the midwest and live south of Palm Beach in Homestead and I love it here. The riding areas in south FL are almost nonexistant but if you get to know other riders, there are some places available and we always have a good time in the mud. The housing market is 2nd worst in the country and all of our riding areas are slowly being taken away from us. Go anywhere but florida and maybee california. Good luck to you!!!

Well I see some people who do not know how good they have it here compared to other places. I moved here from Long Island N.Y. and everywhere up there is illigal to ride. you have to pay about 1000 a year to be a member of a track to ride somewhere legally or risk getting the bike impounded everytime you ride. So compared to where I came fom I love it down here for riding and racing.
