Title: Whats wrong with my Ipod?
Post by: wheelie_boy on December 24, 2008, 10:49:32 PM
When I look through the "artists" part of my ipod on like half of my artists not all of the songs show up.  For example, I have like 5 akon songs and when I go to akon only 2 will show up and If i go to "songs" all of them will be there???  Anyone know how to fix this?  Its pretty weird too because sometimes more songs will be under "artists" than other times, after a sync.

have you used limewire or anything like that? sometimes that will screw it up because it messes the album info up.

Before you sync

Find the file via my documents and browse to the folder your songs are.

Right click on the song you want to edit.

Click properties

Click on the summary tab at the top

Then click on advanced

You should be able to edit the artist name, song and album title etc.

That same thing happened to me. Should be an easy fix. Sometimes the artist name is different. Perfect example for me: some of my songs for Three days Grace are under 3 Days Grace, so it shows up as two seperate artists. or there is no artist name and you would go all the way to the bottom where it says unknown artist.

But im saying in my library on itunes they are all correct in artist. Like before the last sync all of my immortal technique songs (7) were under immortal technique.  After the sync, i check immortal technique and only 1 song shows up???

Im about to do another sync so ill see what happens...

Make sure that his name isn't  spelled Acorn and you should be good to go.
