Title: I'm back w/ a new (to me) raptor Post by: jaxraptor on December 14, 2008, 04:52:12 PM Hey all, I've been out of the fun for about two years. But yesterday I found a deal I could not pass up. I'm a proud owner of an 06 black and yellow raptor. Now will be looking to ride in my old stomping grounds again. I use to ride rodman alot. Is that still legal to ride? Looks like this motoplex place is the sh*t. Will have to check that out soon. Anywho, I'll get good pics and post em' up soon.

We are in Jax and OP and ride pretty much every weekend as long as the weather is decent. Through forum research I have found the metroplex and the sand pit just north of waycross. Plan on checking both of them out after the holidays.

I have GPS coordinates of each i can get tomorrow if you have a GPS, or i can give you directions. Hastings is a sweet place that's HUGE. I've rode there 7-8 times and still continue to find new trails and places to ride..
I haven't been to Motoplex yet but we've been to Sandbox is Waycross and it's worth the trip. We were just there yesterday. If so, we got a couple things in common.

Title: Re: I'm back w/ a new (to me) raptor Post by: jaxraptor on December 15, 2008, 10:03:27 PM thanks! The pics don't do it justice. And I usually don't brag about price, but I got it for $3500. I didn't even try to haggle with the guy. I never get deals like this! It's got itp tires, spacers, nerf bars, bumper, grab bar, fmf pipe and k&n filter! But for some reason...it's missing heel guards???
Title: Re: I'm back w/ a new (to me) raptor Post by: TRX450R_Racer on December 15, 2008, 10:07:48 PM You can probably pick up some stock heal guards on cheap ebay.
Title: Re: I'm back w/ a new (to me) raptor Post by: Yamaha72 on December 15, 2008, 11:17:15 PM Nice bike man and a hell of a deal.... In all honesty though take the spacers off immediately before you do any riding, you will only end up hurting the bike... Trust me I've had experience. One wrong landing off a jump and your wheel will be all junked up! If your front wheels are flipped also i'd suggest flipping them back to reduce bump steer... All of this will reduce handling characteristics but will make you better off......

Title: Re: I'm back w/ a new (to me) raptor Post by: Team Alba Z400 Rider 43 on December 16, 2008, 10:38:57 PM Yeah spacers do put a lot of unwanted stress on the spindle and steering knuckles. Good plan on removing them.
