Title: Thundercross / Okeechobee, Florida
Post by: TM Motorsports on October 27, 2008, 06:16:39 PM
The word is on the street that Thundercross will be open this weekend for practice. We heard from Dean, today that they will be ready to go saturday morning. And I think you are allowed to camp out friday night if you want to. This is by far the best new news south florida quad riders could hear. At one time Thundercross was considered one of the best MX tracks in florida and the same people are running it. So lets try to have a large number of quads there and show okeechobee what were made of.

Brett is correct, they will be open. From what I could see its not the typical Dean Dyes track in the sense that there are not a lot of doubles, and then again it is typical Dean in the sense that he builds tracks for dirt bikes....very short runways into some big jumps, NOTE: it was not finished so its hard to say what will be there when saturday comes. There are some big tables and it looks like it will be fun to ride.
$10 daily membership
$25 yearly membership
$20 to ride for the day
$5 spectator fee

gates will open at 9am saturday morning

Spread the bad news  :(

Just talked to Dean and for reasons beyond their control they will not be opened for practice this weekend.  The insurance company that they use called them late this afternoon (Friday) and told them that they wouldn't write it.  So I tried to see if our would for this weekend but there was not enough time.

But we are still on for next weekend. ;D That is the good news.

Be sure to tell everyone that you know.  Hate for someone to drive that distance and not get to ride!
