Title: Frustration is killing me. Post by: klutchbuster400 on September 23, 2008, 04:47:53 PM I just painted the walls in my room, 3 silver and 1 blue. I'm trying to even out the corners where the blue, and silver paint meet. It's freaking impossible for me! Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you I have more patience then anybody, but definetly not for this. I've use tape, straight edges, small brushes, but I somehow manage to just make an even worse mess.

the paint needs adequate drying time... if you JUST did it, it will probably peel or bleed into the other color. be patient and let the paint dry thoroughly. ;) (bushwacker says tacky, he has painted more than I have, so go with his answer.) there might be something on this link that could help you. http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/pt_interior/0,2036,DIY_14206,00.html Title: Re: Frustration is killing me. Title: Re: Frustration is killing me. Post by: TRX450R_Racer on September 23, 2008, 06:44:11 PM I can understand. I have a friend that is a painter. It's like watching an artist. He can trim the whole house in less than a day, with razor egde. It would take me a week and it would look like crap.
Title: Re: Frustration is killing me. Post by: CABLEGUY1 on September 23, 2008, 06:55:30 PM Believe it or not there is a technique to it.You need to buy a decent brush first off. A 2 1/2 or 3 inch china bristle brush will do fine. It's all in the way you turn the brush.Dip it about half way down the brush, and scrape the excess paint off on the side of the can when you take it out.Turn the brush as your dragging it down the wall so that you push the excess paint to the top of the brush as it starts to run dry. It's easier to do than explain but practice makes perfect.
Title: Re: Frustration is killing me. Post by: Mudneck on September 23, 2008, 07:46:14 PM Run a blue tape line where needed. Paint don't matter if you get the tape.Wait till the paint tacks but NOT till it dries. Pull away WALLA perfect line. The brush I like is the 2" diagonal cut one @ the DEPOT $8 ;)
