Yeah I agree will take it from their site weather they are closing or not. We have them up on our site of places to ride and they have not given us any indication they are closing or to take them down..

The girl I'm dating and her sister grew up with Troy, one of the guys leasing the land that own c&r.  Their lease is up and the landowner is not renewing the lease as he is selling the land.  The last bash is suppose to be like the 3rd weekend in september

If thats true it is very disapointing to say the least. Thats what I am saying we keep loosing more and more places to ride. They wont be happy till they concrete the entire state and make it into a parking lot and strip mall.

We are sad and disappointed to announce that C&R Motorsports Park a/k/a Palm Dale has been temporarily shut down for mud bogging activity to the public. South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) demanded a Cist and Desist order be put into effect and took us to court in Hendry County in front of Judge LaBoda today. (SFWMD) feels they are doing a public service by shutting us down. Judge LaBoda ordered the Temporary Restraining Order to Cist and Desist of any activity of C&R Motorsports Park a/k/a Palm Dale. If you would like to express your opinion please feel free to contact the following SFWMD representatives. We have done everything to best of our ability to prove them wrong.

Allison Murphy 800-250-4200 x 3033 amurphy@sfwmd.gov

Wayne Blythe 800-250-4200 x 3018 wblythe@sfwmd.gov

We would like to thank everyone that made C&R Motorsports Park a successful business and operation. We did our best to keep operating and it proves the ones that have the most money wins.

Thank You from the bottom of our Hearts!

Even though I've never been there and don't ride that style I sent a mail to all of them. here is a copy.

Hi,
It's bad enough we have no where to off road in South Florida. Living in WPB, I have to drive at least 1 1/2 hours to have fun. We keep paying our title fees and places keep getting shut down. All SFWMD does is drag their feet and postpone our riding areas for one reason or another. If it was a golf course that totally strips the land, unlike a riding park that leaves the trees, it would be a done deal. Croom is a prim example of a great place that we ride and the wildlife is still abundant. Please cut us a break once in a while.
Thanks

bummer  but last week i saw something on fox 4 news  collier co is trying to find a spot (yeah rite) but also postponed to address more current problems ansd situtions in lee co.  i say the state with all title money collected over last 7 yrs could purchase abunch of acreage in north port and set a nice park up east off 75 (where everyone rode before) city shut down cause its in the city,  rural land in the city oxy morons  easy fix  shorten up the city limits to urbanize  and let the riders ride dam it  jmo

I spoke with the attorneys at SFWMD and was told the property owners were asked to get some permits which they failed to due even after they were given 180 days and thats why they were given a cease and decist order.

The attorney didn't tell you the whole story.  C&R did as the requirements stated the Land Owner did not, we as C&R can not sign property easements over to SFWMD, the land owner has to do this, she agreed in December 2007 and signed a document stating she would do so, when the 180 days came to she would not.  So we (C&R) are being punished for something we have no control over.  SFWMD should of punished the land owner not us.

C&R I appologize if what I stated was not entirely accurate. I in no way meant to say anything to suggest that the closing was your fault. I was told this by the attorneys at the #s given on this thread. I did call and was very vocal about the closing of your facility even though I have never been there. I have been involved many years in the ongoing issues we as riders are facing with the continued closing of riding areas. I have written to our states representatives, governor, senators, you name it. I have become a member of the AMA,the Blue Ribbon Coalition,Tread lightly,The Americans For Responsible Recreational Access, and any other organization that will further our rights as riders. I hope that you guys at C&R reach out to some of the organizations in the future. I will continue to try to work with any and all agencies possible to get the results we as riders are all looking for (more safe and legal areas to ride). I hope that more people get involved  to make this process easier and quicker! throughout the years The one thing that has become very clear is the lack of interest from the very people that I am doing all this work for!!! I personally am a rider and I can say there are maybe 12 to 24 people, out of which 10 I always see at every meeting no matter how far the meeting places are, and the people that go to these meetings know  who I am talking about and who actually is involved. Again I am sorry!!!!   Please rest assured there are people out there fighting for our cause!!!!
