Track is in need of some serious work. Noone was hooking up worth a damn.

LOL. And what sort "serious work" do you suggest? I suppose the black groove and tires sqalling wasn't good enough.

Too funny.

Sounds to me like the one needing serious work is you, learn how to set your quad up and it will hook up everytime.

Just talked to Tad ( knobby class accident in turn 3-4). He is still in the hospital from last night, he is doing alright he has a broken collar bone, crushed vb in his lower back and a fractured rib. He wanted to thank everyone for their help and support last night.

Glad to hear that he is going to make it. The crushed vertebrae is what is bad, Hope he makes a full recovery.
As for the track conditions, it was definitely better than 2 weeks ago. Good traction in the groove and not as bumpy. I had a lot of fun out there and I was getting faster as the night wore on.
The track is really beginning to come around to what it was before the forced break in racing.
I have a lot of pictures that I will be going over and putting online either tonite or tomorrow. Got a lot of good shots of all the classes.
Thanks to dave at Orange Cycle for letting Ben use a chest protector. Next time he comes racing he will have one of his own.
We will be taking him to Lima, Ohio to start classes on Aug. 18 at the University of Northwestern Ohio. He'll be back for the Christmas holidays.
Thanks again for good close racing, Brady.
Oh, Shawn, you missed out bud. Oh well.
Richard

i had a good time out there.  i am still green to the flat track racing so i was chasing set up all night.  got a up close and personal look at turn 2 in my first heat, apparently the atv decided that it did not want me on its back at that point in time.  i could not figure out how to get traction in 4 to save my life.

Saturday was a great day of racing. The track was smooth and had a ton of grip. We were squalling tires in practice before the race even started. My bike was carrying the front wheels in every race. It did get a little dry slick in turns 3 and 4 in the main, but if you water the track at that time of night you run the risk of it getting greasy. I personally don't mind a wet slick track (I actually prefer it), but most of the motorcycle guys would have had a hard time with it, so we decided to leave it be. As the weather dries out and the track gets rubber we will be able to do "offensive" work on the track instead of "defensive" work repairing rain damage all the time. It should continue to get smoother and grippier.

We did have a rider go down on a quad. It was a nasty looking wreck and thankfully he wasn't more seriously injured. Everyone please keep Tad and his family in your prayers.

We had some good, close racing, beautiful weather all night, and were done racing at 10:20 pm.

I will post race results later tonight.

Thanks
-Brady

If I could put as much weight on the rear wheel as Brady......I would be carrying the front wheel too!!!!  ;)

In my BIASED opinion, I thought the track was the best it has been since T Bowl was reborn. Since I got such pitiful starts, I rode quite a few different lines working back thru the pack. All lines were raceable. Inside, the groove was sticking good. If I went in hot or got off the groove trying to go around someone......could still dirt track it thru the turns and keep pace. Was the most fun I have had this year. I do applaud Brady for not watering the track during intermission. Being second out again after the break would have been hazardous like the race before....at least for me.  8)

Yep, glad to see it somewhat dry as I didn't want to see Ward down in 3! John had the shut-off valve come loose from the tank going down the back straight in the second heat race; When I saw him on the outside of 3 with the bike down I thought Ward had been missing the ground there! :)
Was a great nite for racing and was an awesome time. Let's do it again!!!
