Title: Eiger tire setup... Post by: brocker on May 23, 2008, 08:27:17 AM I see several others here with Eigers. I'm getting ready to order new tires but I'm confused on what size to get. Anybody have trouble turning 27's? I'm probably either going to go with Mud lites or 589s. My machine is completely stock. Thanks for your input.

Mudlites have a smoother ride due to the almost full tread contact to ground. 589s are good mud tires but not quite as smooth of a ride due to less full contact to ground. If you are in to trail riding, this shoudl be a concern. If not, get the 589s. Title: Re: Eiger tire setup... Title: Re: Eiger tire setup... Post by: Kawa3 on May 23, 2008, 04:16:44 PM 27" laws or 28" silverbacks. Once you are over 10-15mph the ride feels the same. and screw 589s. Mudlite Xls(or XXLs if you want to be a real man ;) ).
Title: Re: Eiger tire setup... Post by: MudMan on May 23, 2008, 04:59:34 PM The 589s suck. As for tire size. Everybody lives by the motto bigger is better. But in reality, going with a 26 or 27 instead of a 28 or 29 puts a lot less strain on your bike and won't really make any difference in the mud. There aren't many instances, if any, where ONE INCH is the difference between you getting stuck and you getting through a mud hole. Some might disagree with that but one inch is nothing. But putting less strain on your engine could make a huge difference in the long run.
And I prefer the swamp lites over the mud lites.......good luck !! Title: Re: Eiger tire setup... Post by: crom A zone on May 23, 2008, 09:46:57 PM hey kawa i got 589 on my bike and i will out run your bike any day anytime lets go have a run show u its not the bike its the rider
