Title: Great Cat Dealer Post by: Bucanoles on May 19, 2005, 12:51:25 PM Bought my AC at Thomasville Tractor Co. in Georgia. They delivered it to me on a Saturday. Great service.
Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: johnnygun on June 20, 2005, 10:47:38 PM not so interested in the dealer as the scoot.
how has it been treating you? i'm in the final throws of scoring an 05 a.c. 500le. lemme know.. Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: Bucanoles on June 21, 2005, 04:03:57 PM First time I took it out, I broke the front differential :'( BUT they fixed it and hasnt had any problems since. I give this machine hell. I ride in a lot of water and mud.
Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: johnnygun on June 29, 2005, 11:22:21 PM as mud tire set, going w/titan 589's 26".
any clearance issues w/ your 27's? and any problems turning them w/ the stock 500? Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: Bucanoles on July 01, 2005, 04:06:58 AM Definitely no clearance issues. Could have went with 28.5's with no problem there. I do have a little trouble turning my 27's in thick mud in high gear. In low gear I have no problem though. My 500 is totally stock. When I start doing some mods, I'm sure it will help. The AC is the best in the mud that I have seen. The only others that can hang with me around here is kawasaki brutes with 28.5's.
Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: johnnygun on July 01, 2005, 11:32:55 AM sweet! gonna stick w/26's. we can find mud here but not like fla.
around here, the stockers will stay on. the 589's are for my florida trips. other than playing w/ you guys, the bike will be getting to my camp in wca3a. from pump 8 or from alligator alley, it's a good ride so it is good to hear the a.c. gets-r-done. thanks Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: J.D. on July 01, 2005, 01:03:30 PM 27's are a great tire size for a 500 .
Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: johnnygun on July 02, 2005, 09:59:23 AM ok, i gt the point! everyone says 27's. i'll concider it.
till someone makes a pipe, and k&n gets their filter out for my a.c. 500, will i have problems turning them? i don't wanna get bogged down in stock configuration. Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: J.D. on July 02, 2005, 09:11:06 PM Re jet it and get a more agressive ignition and it will do very well.
Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: johnnygun on July 03, 2005, 09:31:35 AM use mid grade gas in my truck-plan using in my a.c., any thoughts on gasoline?
tell me more about "agressive ignition" ??? Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: J.D. on July 05, 2005, 02:58:58 PM Don't use High test unless you put in a High Comp piston . The ignition gives a higher rpm limit and a more agressive timing curve , makes the motor feel sporty .
Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: johnnygun on July 07, 2005, 12:37:21 AM o.k. guru. how much is this mod gonna cost me?
can i install it or must it be a dealer thing? did you get that pesky zip code to work on my plug ups? if no, we can do my home address.. thanks Title: Re: Great Cat Dealer Post by: AmericanRobster on December 16, 2006, 07:50:29 AM I have a stock Arctic Cat 500, and I use 93 octane gas in it, is that a good or bad idea?
